BWW Review: Jamie deRoy and friends Play The Friars Club

In the theater community Jamie deRoy is a well known Broadway producer but in the Friars community she is also acclaimed as an entertainer. Friar Jamie deRoy furthermore has the distinction of being the 8th woman to become a Friar subsequent to the men's only club changing it's rules in 1988. Jamie deRoy who is usually the earliest to spot an opportunity had to wait behind the likes of Liza Minnelli, Joan Rivers Gloria Allred, and Brooke Shields who were also among the first to join the Friars Club.

2019 at Blue Note Hawaii Kicks Off with G. Love, Patton Oswalt, and More

Blue Note Hawaii is kicking off 2019 with some of music and comedy's biggest names. G. Love will get you in the partying mood, followed by two rounds of comedy with Patton Oswalt and Gary Owen. Swing kings Big Bad Voodoo Daddy return, Anthony David performs the music of Bill Withers and guitar phenom Jonny Lang performs for four nights. Singer-songwriter Joshua Radin makes his Blue Note debut. The Beach Boys' Al Jardine is sure to please crowds, '90s R&B supergroup All-4-One perform for three nights and John Sebastian from the Lovin' Spoonful will take you down memory lane. Local artists include Tim Rose in his "Aloha for Now" show, the incomparable Willie K, reggae artist Sister Nancy, the exciting Dae Han Quintet, local favorites Good Foot Hawaii and Punahou alum Willy Falk.

Fair Moon Stages presents 'Wishes & Dreams: A Celebration of the Music that Animates our Lives' on Sunday, November 4th,, 3pm, at The Union County Performing Arts Center in Rahway, NJ. A 30-piece orchestra and 20 vocalists performing delightfully familiar songs from animated movies highlight the concert. The event is a benefit for the company, whose mission is to present accessible and professional theater at affordable prices. BWW Review: LEGALLY BLONDE, THE MUSICAL at UCPAC Shines Bright on the Main Stage through 1/27

The verdict is in. 'Legally Blonde, The Musical,' presented by Dream Theatre Productions at Union County Performing Arts Center (UCPAC) is a hit! Directed and choreographed by Bernard J. Solomon with musical direction by David Maglione, the show features an excellent, multi-talented cast. It will be performed on UCPAC's Main Stage through Sunday, January 27.

Award winners Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez will sing Broadway melodies to support musical theatre scholarships at the 3rd annual Brooklyn Children's Theatre's SPRING SING on Monday, April 24, 2017. Kristen, an Oscar and Grammy winner, co-wrote Broadway's first a capella show, In Transit. Bobby, co-creator of Book of Mornon and Avenue Q, is the youngest ever person to win an EGOT - Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony awards. The pair are currently adapting their hit film Frozen for Broadway release in Spring, 2018.
