Arts for Art has announced a new partnership with the West Harlem Art Fund to present In Gardens at Governors Island. In Gardens at Governors Island will feature two afternoons of FreeJazz performances, Melanie Dyer's Siren Xypher on August 26th and Alexis Marcelo Trio on August 27th.

Returning to Governors Island this coming Saturday is jazz drummer William Hooker. He brings a trio to the Nolan Park section of the island in Building 10B. This free concert is co-presented with the West Harlem Art Fund.

The 2023 US edition of Jazztopad, from June 23-30, will feature a series of commissions from the acclaimed Lutosławski Quartet in collaboration with jazz piano luminaries Craig Taborn and Uri Caine, EMMY-winning composer Don Davis and sought-after bassist and composer Michael Bates. The Audio Publishers Association has announced finalists for the 2023 Audie Awards®, the premier awards program recognizing distinction in audiobooks and spoken-word entertainment. Winners across 26 competitive categories will be revealed at the Audie Awards Gala on March 28. The ceremony will be streamed to the public from Chelsea Piers’ Pier Sixty in NYC. 

Fire From the Road serves as a powerful tribute to the band’s late saxophonist, Jemeel Moondoc, who passed away in August 2021 from complications of sickle cell anemia. The three-disc set compiles three hours of music captured in 2004 and 2005 at concerts in Houston and Marfa, Texas, and the Guelph Jazz Festival in Ontario, Canada. 

NYC-based new music group Wet Ink Ensemble announces its three new Artists-in-Residence: Obie award-winning theater artist Rick Burkhardt, composer and drummer Vicente Hansen Atria, and saxophonist and composer Ingrid Laubrock.

Clocking in at nearly two hours and featuring six extended pieces flowing across two discs, Universal Tonality documents a performance that took place at Roulette in Manhattan's TriBeCa neighborhood in December 2002 (one of the final concerts at the venue's original loft space). Parker invited 16 musicians of various ages, cultures and backgrounds.

An Die Musik presents pianist/composer Lafayette Gilchrist in a solo concert of new music. The event is set for Saturday, July 9 at 7 p.m. Live and Streaming from An Die Musik, 409 N. Jazz at Princeton University, helmed by acclaimed saxophonist/composer Rudresh Mahanthappa, announces the return of the Princeton University Jazz Festival. Presented in conjunction with Jazz Appreciation Month, the event, which takes place Wednesday, April 27 – Saturday, April 30, features guest artists guitarist Gilad Hekselman, and saxophonists Seamus Blake, Tony Malaby and Alexa Tarantino performing with Princeton University's stellar student ensembles.

Today American Composers Forum announces the first collection of recording projects selected through a panel process for its in-house record label, innova Recordings. A national call issued in December 2021 launched innova's new business model aimed at making the process of visioning, producing, and releasing recordings more inclusive and accessible to artists.
