Adam Deitch, the renowned drummer for Lettuce and Break Science, has announced a special New Orleans performance during Jazz Fest billed as Deitch Daze.

This weekend, on Sunday, July 25 at 3 pm, the Harlem Quartet, a Music Mountain favorite, takes the stage to perform a vibrant program of works by Black composers, from William Grant Still and George Walker to Wynton Marsalis and Billy Strayhorn.

In celebration of International Jazz Day on April 30, Flushing Town Hall will present David Ostwald's Louis Armstrong Eternity Band performing 'Remembering the Past and Celebrating the Future. David Ostwald's Louis Armstrong Eternity Band will perform live on Friday, April 30 at 7:00 PM (ET). The ticketed performance can be viewed via YouTube.

Chamber music and jazz aficionados alike will want to mark their calendars for Music Mountain's 91st Season! America's longest-running chamber music festival kicks off on June 7 honoring the late Peter Serkin's legacy, with pianist Benjamin Hochman and Friends playing Bach and Mozart at the 2020 Music Mountain Opening Benefit Concert & Reception.

The 48th season of the popular Highlights In Jazz series gets off to a roaring start on Feb. 13, 2020, when producer Jack Kleinsinger presents the Highlights In Jazz 47th Anniversary Gala. Featured performers include bassist Jay Leonhart, pianist Tomoko Ohno, drummer Bobby Sanabria, saxophonist Steve Wilson, percussionist/drummer Memo Acevedo, violinist/mandolinist Aaron Weinstein, and drummer Vito Lesczak. And, in keeping with the beloved HIJ tradition, a surprise special guest will be on hand for the concert, held at BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center.

Grammy-winning identical twins and Juilliard grads Peter and Will Anderson present 'Benny Meets Artie' at Feinstein's/54 Below. The Andersons will explore the lives and music of two American cultural icons, clarinetists Benny Goodman & Artie Shaw, featuring their jazz sextet of vocalist Molly Ryan, pianist Rossano Sportiello, drummer Phil Stewart, and bassist Clovis Nicolas. Songs will include swing era hits a?oeSing, Sing Sing,a?? a?oeBegin the Beguine,a?? a?oeStardust,a?? and a?oeMoonglow.a?? Raised in poverty in Chicago, Benny Goodman was a classical clarinet prodigy who soon sparked an international swing craze in the 1930s, and premiered the first jazz concert at Carnegie Hall in 1938. Artie Shaw was a composer, author, and master clarinetist, pushing musical boundaries by blending American swing with European and Latin styles.

Prepare yourself for more good things to be said about the Anderson Brothers. The twins took on Cole Porter this time for a fun show combining historic facts with numbers written by the 'millionaire, Episcopalian, born in Peru, Indiana' The Anderson Brothers created a unique atmosphere for their show by deviating between instrumental-only music and songs performed alongside singer, Yaala Ballin.

Twin brothers and Juilliard graduates Peter & Will Anderson swing the songs of the holidays with their six-piece ensemble featuring vocalist Molly Ryan.

Charis Ioannou's latest quartet line-up consists of two horns, a bass and drums. This chord-less line-up will present jazz standards from the American songbook, with the well-known musicians of the Cypriot jazz scene, Charis Ioannou (saxophones), Konstantinos Efraimidis (saxophone & clarinet), Greg Makamian (double bass) and Marios Spyrou (drums), at Technopolis 20 garden, on Thursday, 29th of August 2019, at 8:30pm.

Pianist Marios Toumbas and his quartet will perform at Technopolis 20 garden, romantic jazz songs from the Great American Songbook by Irving Berlin, George Gershwin, Cole Porter and others, on Sunday, 21st of July, at 8:30pm.

The venerable, Connecticut-based Music Mountain concert series has announced its full 2019 summer season comprising two distinct series. Marking 90 continuous years of presenting outstanding artists and beloved repertoire to East Coast concertgoers, Music Mountain is now the oldest running chamber music series in the nation, which now features the Chamber Music Concerts series and Twilight Series.

Clarinet and saxophone masters, Peter and Will Anderson return to 59E59 Theaters (Songbook Summit, The Joy of Sax, The Count Meets the Duke) with a tribute to two American icons, clarinetists Benny Goodman and Artie Shaw-for one week only.
