Gulfshore Playhouse, Naples' premier professional theater, is excited to announce “Higher,” its first show of the 2020-21 season, will go global. This new one-man show created right here in Naples will stream everywhere, allowing audiences all over the world to enjoy the world premiere production. The filmed production will be available for viewing Dec. 15, 2020 to Jan. 15, 2021. Pre-sale tickets are $50 and can be purchased today.

La MaMa will kick off its 59th season with a special presentation of Downtown Variety and a Virtual Season Launch Party on Friday, September 18, 2020 at 8pm EDT.

INTAR has announced the sad news that John McCormack, longtime Executive Director of INTAR, died on Monday May 18th in his Queens NY home from natural causes related to COVID-19. McCormack was 61.

Conceived and directed by Cezary Tomaszewski, a rising star of the Eastern European avant-garde, Cezary Goes to War draws on Tomaszewski's personal experiences with Poland's military draft and its archaic system of male classification. Weaving text from military evaluations of manliness, choreography inspired by army drills, and the patriotic songs by Stanisław Moniuszko, the father of Polish national opera, Cezary Goes to War offers a witty critique of military recruitment, national pride, and the vulnerability of male identity.

The Paley Center for Media today announced the first selections to its Fall 2019 PaleyLive NY season: The Amazin' 1969 New York Mets: A World Championship for the Ages and History is Made: Law & Order: SVU Celebrates a Milestone. Both programs will take place at the Paley Center's New York location in September and are presented in partnership with the New York Post.

Today, The 24 Hour Plays, in partnership with The New School for Drama, announced the company for The 24 Hour Plays: Nationals. 

SWELL is a music-theatre work that weaves together ten original avant-garde/new music compositions written by ten richly inventive composers drawing from their personal histories as immigrants and children of immigrants. Their unique, surprising, and deeply human stories are told through voice, piano, cello, and violin in this music-based contribution to the global immigration narrative.

Boundless Theatre Company will present a production of Migdalia Cruz's Fur, directed by Elena Araoz. The production will run from November 1st to November 24th as part of the Next Door Series at NYTW, located at 83 East 4th Street.
