Emmy-winning composer Jim Dooley teams up with Troubies’ founder Matt Walker to world premiere the ‘dynamic plot-concepted’ The Revue at the Colony Theater opening March 17, 2022. Matt directs the cast of himself with Rick Batalla, Katie DeShan, Tiffany Daniels, Isaac Robinson-Smith and Travis Leland. Jim carved some time from rehearsals to explain his novel dynamic plot concept and chat on some highlights of his varied career.

Skylight Music Theatre today announced the partial cast, creative team and a one-day sale for the Wisconsin premiere of Dennis DeYoung’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame, running May 20 through June 12, 2022. Performances take place in the beautiful Cabot Theatre at the Broadway Theatre Center, 158 N. Broadway, in Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward.

Wind of Change, in association with Cahoots Theatre Company, today announces an extension of the world première run of Tim Walker's Bloody Difficult Women. The production, which charts the events behind the court case Gina Miller brought against Theresa May in 2016 and what has ensued, will extend for one week only and now run until April 2.

Ariana DeBose took home the award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the recent film adaptation of West Side Story. The film also won in the Best Film Editing category.

“THE REVUE”, a revolutionary new parody of cinema and theater classics that pokes fun at the very fact that “Not everything should be a musical,” will hit the famed Colony Theatre in Burbank, CA on March 17, 2021.   

This week I saw productions of two decades-old musicals, each written by one of theatre's great composer/lyricists, which, in their original productions, ran a combined total of nine performances on Broadway.
