New England's leading metal band, DEAD BY WEDNESDAY released their self-titled full length album on April 19th, 2019 through Combat Records/ EMP Label Group. The band has announced that they will be hitting the road as direct support for metal legends Flotsam and Jetsam this May/June in support of the new release on the Tour of Chaos 2019. In addition, DBW released their new video for the first single off the record titled 'You & Die.'

Babes With Blades Theatre Company's (BWBTC) 21st season continues with its biennial William Shakespeare production. In 2019, the Shakespeare production is Othello running April 11 - May 25, directed by Mignon McPherson Stewart with fight choreography by Samantha Kaufman.

The Factory Theater is proud to announce its 27th anniversary season of world premieres at its Rogers Park home. The 2019 - 2020 Season includes Scott OKen's Oh Sh#t! It's Haunted!, September 27 - November 9; Mike Beyer and Kirk Pynchon's Last Night in Karaoke Town, February 14 - March 28, 2020 and Angelina Martinez's The HOA, June 12 - July 25, 2020. The Factory Theater, celebrating five years on Howard Street in Rogers Park, continues the tradition it established at Season One: producing original, impactful, timely work that is important to the company, its ensemble and Chicago. The Factory's core values and unique sense of humor have not changed, and it continues to do what it does best: unabashedly entertain its audience totally and completely. 

The Factory Theater concludes its 26th season with Prophet$, June 7 - July 20, written by Factory Theater Ensemble Member Anthony Tournis and directed by Factory Theater Ensemble Member Wm. Bullion, at the Factory Theater, 1623 W. Howard St., Chicago. Previews are Friday, June 7 and Saturday June 8 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, June 9 at 3 p.m. Opening night is Friday, June 14 at 8 p.m. Performance times are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. Ticket prices are $10 for previews, $18 for students and seniors and $25 for general admission. Co-Artistic Directors Manny Tamayo and Stacie Barra of The Factory Theater launch a new Artistic Associate Program to coincide with the opening of their next mainstage production May the Road Rise Up, February 15 - March 30 at the Factory Theater, 1623 W. Howard St., Chicago. The Artistic Associate Program aims to welcome members into The Factory Theater family to promote the creation, development and possible staging of new works and initiatives at Factory. The first two Artistic Associates named are Sarah Espinoza and David Goodman-Edberg. Goodman-Edberg also serves as the lighting designer for May the Road Rise Up.

The Factory Theater presents the world premiere of The Adventures of Spirit Force Five, playing June 29 - August 11 at the Factory Theater, 1623 W. Howard St. The new play is written by Jill Oliver and directed by Spenser Davis. Previews are Friday, June 29 and Saturday, June 30 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, July 1 at 3 p.m.

Director Simon Levy, who has won much acclaim for his current production of Chaim Potok's The Chosen at the Fountain Theatre, now brings his directorial insight on achieving assimilation into America to the Sierra Madre Playhouse's production of THE IMMIGRANT, written by Mark Harelik about his grandfather's struggle to survive as the only Jewish immigrant to settle in Hamilton, Texas in 1909. The play is a timely and touching meditation on parents and children, newcomers and natives, Christians and Jews, and on what it means to be an American.

Award-winning singer-songwriter and eclectic multi-instrumentalist Rachael Sage will be joining 80s pop pioneer Howard Jones for his nationwide U.S. tour kicking off January 24th in Seattle, WA. Sage has often named Jones as a seminal influence on her music and previously supported him during the UK leg of his 2017 world tour. Along the tour, Sage will be previewing material from her new album 'Myopia', due May 2018.
