Award-winning comedy icons Tina Fey and Amy Poehler hosted the 78th Annual Golden Globe Awards, celebrating the best in film and television. The telecast aired live coast to coast tonight, Sunday, February 28, 2021 from 5-8 p.m. PST/8-11 p.m. EST on NBC.

In honor of Black History month, Stars in the House is dedicating all Tuesday episodes to Black Theatre United. Tonight at 8pm, the fun continues with Black Male Excellence in the Arts with host Darius de Haas joined by guests LeRoy McClain, Jared Grimes and Blair Underwood.

The honor will be presented by her “Malcolm & Marie” co-star John David Washington during the live ceremony on Sunday, March 7, 2021 from 7-10pm ET/PT hosted by Taye Diggs.

George C. Wolfe, the decorated director of the film adaptation of August Wilson's 'Ma Rainey's Black Bottom,' has been tapped to direct 'Rustin,' a new film at Netflix produced by Barack and Michelle Obama's Higher Ground Productions. 

Domingo accepts the AFI AWARDS honor on behalf of the creative ensemble and introduces the film to the AFI Movie Club audience.

Even theatre fans will be able to cheer on their favorites because there are several film adaptations of Broadway shows on the list of Golden Globe nominees this year.

The Critics Choice Association (CCA) announced today the film nominees for the 26th annual Critics Choice Awards.  The winners will be revealed LIVE on The CW on Sunday, March 7, 2021 from 7-10pm ET/PT, with acclaimed film, television, and stage star Taye Diggs returning to host for his third consecutive time. 

For her leading role in the film adaptation of August Wilson's 'Ma Rainey's Black Bottom,' Viola Davis has been honored by the Palm Springs Film Festival with the Desert Palm Achievement Award. 

August Wilson is best known as the author of the American Century Cycle, a series of ten plays including Gem of the Ocean, Joe Turner's Come and Gone, Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, The Piano Lesson, Seven Guitars, Fences, Two Trains Running, Jitney, King Hedley II, and Radio Golf. These works explore the heritage and experience of African Americans, decade-by-decade, over the course of the twentieth century.

Former 'Hamilton' co-stars Leslie Odom Jr. and Daveed Diggs have been honored with Screen Actors Guild Award nominations this morning!
