West (Broadway's Play On!, Last Stop on Market Street, Akeelah and the Bee) and directed by Timothy Douglas (Round House, The Kennedy Center, Shakespeare Theatre Company, Great Theatre of China, and more).

Children's Theatre Company has announced the much-anticipated production of Annie is now on sale. Directed by Peter Rothstein, Annie runs November 7, 2021 through January 9, 2022, opening the first live CTC theatrical season post-pandemic.

Magik Theatre has announced the 2021-2022 season, featuring six inspiring and courageous productions: Maddi’s Fridge, Snow White, Ella Enchanted: The Musical, The Snowy Day & Other Stories by Ezra Jack Keats, as well as the world premiere productions of Selena Maria Sings and Junie B. Jones: Toothless Wonder at its downtown theatre at Hemisfair.

In an innovative retelling of Snow White from Children's Theatre Company (CTC) adapted and directed by Britian's Greg Banks, this Snow White follows more closely the original Grimm Brothers version as opposed to the Walt Disney animated story people have known, or grown to know from film.. a?oeSnow White and the Seven Dwarfsa?? became the company's first animated film in 1937, a huge accomplishment. How has the culture and social fiber changed since the 1930's and what does CTC's fairy tale Snow White say to audiences today?

On a middle of the month March weekend, Children's Theatre Company (CTC) of Minneapolis on the United Health Group Stage, offered their audiences a Middle Earth journey when they presented the World Premiere The Hobbit.  Based on one of J.R.R. Tolkien's bestselling novels, the British actor, director and playwright Greg Banks adapted and then directed the production, which featured an original musical score by fellow Brit Tom Johnson. The classic story of Middle Earth Dwarves reclaiming their culture and treasure stolen form them by a fire breathing creature imagines adventure and exhilaration galore, enough to last an entire evening and long after the actors leave the stage.

Adam Harris (Kili, Troll, Smaug, Ensemble), Becca Hart (Balin, Troll, Bard, Ensemble), Acting Company member Dean Holt (Bilbo Baggins), and Acting Company Member Reed Sigmund (Dwalin, Thorin, Spider, Ensemble) with Victor Zupanc and Bill Olson as the onstage musicians. Riding a bicycle into the  theater, similar to a charming pied piper, Autumn Ness, rings a bell to call the tiny tot audience into the Gargill Studio at Children's Theatre Company in Minneapolis. In CTC'S production,The Biggest Little House in the Forest, a play adapted from the picture book by Dijemma Bider, Ness invites her audience in while saying 'Winter's outside, but it's spring in the theatre.'

Adapted for the stage by Jerome Hairston with music by Victor Zupanc, the show is inspired by four of Keats' most beloved stories, including the 1963 Caldecott Award-winning picture book, The Snowy Day.

Where will a holiday memory be made this season? Somewhere near Whoville staged at Children's Theatre Company (CTC)? The illustrious CTC opened their musical extravaganza' 'How the Grinch Stole Christmas' penned by the iconic Dr. Seuss beginning in 1994, and reprises the production from last season. While Theo Geisel, aka Dr. Seuss, created the story in 1957, CTC envisioned a production to touch any young heart despite the actual chronological age. The production's book and lyrics by Timothy Mason together with music by Mel Marvin continue to delight audiences these past 20 years since the musical's inception--and all the memories the production has created in that span of time through the years.
