This month and beyond artists at Joe's Pub a?" a program and venue of The Public Theater a?" will honor legends and inspirations from across the universe of music. From shows featuring the indelible classic hits of singers like The Rat Pack, Chaka Kahn, and David Bowie to tributes of Dolly Parton and Bette Midler at the beginning of their careers, audiophiles and nostalgists have plenty to look forward to at Joe's Pub.

After a raucous sold-out performance this summer, Amber Martin returns with her tribute to the legendary Continental Baths and Bathhouse-era Bette Midler... in Bathhouse Bette. This performance focuses on the early 70's era of Bette Midler during Continental Baths days singing with her as yet unknown accompanist was Barry Manilow. As per the fashion of Bette... copious amounts of singing, stories, and dancing ensue!

Paper Mill Playhouse presents Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella with music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, new book by Douglas Carter Beane, and original book by Oscar Hammerstein II. Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella will continue through Sunday, December 29, 2019, at Paper Mill Playhouse.

Last Night the BODYGUARD opened to a very warm audience reception at North Shore Music Theatre. The final offering of the 2019 regular musical season THE BODYGUARD is a new musical based on the smash hit 1992 film.

Bill Hanney's award-winning North Shore Music Theatre (NSMT) is thrilled to announce complete casting and creative team details for the upcoming production of, THE BODYGUARD, starring the previously announced Cheaza Figueroa and Judson Mills in the roles made famous by Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner in the smash hit 1992 movie. The Boston area Premiere of THE BODYGUARD plays from Tuesday, October 29 a?' November 10, 2019.

Half Time's André De Shields, Donna McKechnie, Lillias White, Haven Burton, Matthew Sklar, Bob Martin, Nancy Ticotin, producer Dori Berinstein and co-producer Kimberlee Garris had a lovely reunion at Theatre Circle in celebration of the release of their Original Cast Recording, and to sign CDs for fans on August 14, 2019.

A song from 'Locked and Loaded, an American Musical' will be featured in a July 25 New York City fundraiser for Gays Against Guns. Under its former title, 'Gun Control, the Musical,' the show-first presented at Cape Cod's historic Provincetown Theater-received a staged reading last fall at New York's Theatre at St. John's in Greenwich Village (related Broadway World article: www.broadwayworld.comarticleGUN-CONTROL-the-Musical-Will-Hold-Reading-20181018).

The Muny announced today its complete cast, design and production team for Kinky Boots, the second show of its second century, June 19 - 25.

Join the Black Broadway community as they perform inspirational cover songs at Darkness RISING: Live 2. The concert benefits Darkness RISING Nonprofit, an organization which focuses on mental wellness in the Black community. The event will be held at the Knitting Factory Brooklyn at 7pm (doors open at 6:30pm). Knitting Factory is located at 361 Metropolitan Ave in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The evening will incude vendors, raffle prizes, a silent auction and a full bar, and will be hosted by Broadway Black's Drew Shade. Tickets can be purchased at bkknittingfactory.com.
