Before We're Gone, a new play about love and second chances by the award-winning playwright Jerry Small, continues performances at the 13th Street Repertory Theatre for a limited run (21 Performances) through August 5th.

Acclaimed TV and film actor John Pleshette (Knots Landing, Murder One, Curb Your Enthusiasm) and stand-up comedian and actress Cathy Ladman (I'm Dying Up Here, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Scandal) - a late-night favorite who has made numerous appearances on The Tonight Show and has her own HBO One Night Stand special - anchor the ensemble cast of an outrageous new comedy inspired by a true story about "family dysfunction, atonement and matzo balls." Took A Cab Productions and the world-famous Improv comedy club chain present the world premiere of Jews, Christians and Screwing Stalin by Mark Lonow and Jo Anne Astrow. Lonow directs for an Aug. 18 opening at the Matrix Theatre, where performances will continue through Sept. 23.

La Femme Theatre Productions presents the revival of Tennessee William's A Lovely Sunday for Creve Coeur, directed by Austin Pendleton.After staging a string of successful co-productions with top Off-Broadway theater companies, La Femme is thrilled to debut its first solo production.

The american vicarious will present the world premiere of Jonathan Leaf's Pushkin. This limited Off-Broadway engagement will begin performances on July 25th and continue through August 25th only, at at The Sheen Center for Thought & Culture (18 Bleecker Street). Opening Night is scheduled  for August 5th. The performance runs 90 minutes with no intermission.

After five years of teaching, running a theatre department, singing in a big band, and fighting cancer, Singer/Actor BRUCE CLOUGH returns to the New York DON'T TELL MAMA stage--the scene of his many past Cabaret triumphs--to celebrate times in his life when something awesome came from something awful. On Sunday, July 15 at 3:30 PM, Bruce brings SILVER LININGS to Don't Tell Mama (343 W 46th St., between 8th & 9th Ave). Featuring his Musical Director Jeff Dershin on piano, and backup vocalists Barbara Gurskey and Stephen Belfatti, Bruce will tell his poignant and inspirational life stories through classic Broadway show tunes, popular film songs, and eclectic pop music from the 1960s to the 2000s, featuring compositions by Irving Berlin, Jerry Herman, Stevie Wonder, Randy Newman, Jonathan Larson, Van Morrison, Weird Al Yankovic, and more.

The play is set in Frankie's cramped Hell's Kitchen apartment, here Frankie and Johnny have repaired after a satisfactory first date. But after satisfying their mutual desires, they're soon saddled with violently diverging ones. Frankie is ready to withdraw back into her comfortable cocoon of emotional reticence; she wants him out, five minutes ago. Johnny is ready to sing an aria, to dance an endless pas de deux, to buy a tract house. He certainly isn't ready to go home.

HB Studio, one of New York's legendary institutions for theater training and practice, is pleased to announce the appointment of actor, writer, and producer Paul Pryce as Director of The Hagen Summer Intensive, a 6-week summer conservatory for actors.

Pinch 'N' Ouch Theatre is a contemporary Theatre & Film production company dedicated to bringing exciting new works to Atlanta. Austin Pendleton and Barbara Bleier return to downtown's hideaway, Pangea, in June, with STARTING HERE,- The Songs of Richard Maltby and David Shire. There are three performances scheduled: June 7, 21, and 28th at 7pm. Pendleton has been friends with Maltby and Shire since they were all undergraduates at Yale in the 1960's, and had appeared in several of their student productions

BroadwayWorld is sad to share the news today that legendary filmmaker Rick McKay has passed away earlier this week. A longtime friend of the web site, and constant presence in the theatre world, McKay has long been at work on two sequels to his 2004 hit film, Broadway: The Golden Age.

George Street Playhouse, now located at 103 College Farm Road in New Brunswick, announced today that Playhouse favorites John Bolger (last season's American Son, 2014's Outside Mullingar) and Armand Schultz (The Spitfire Grill, Jolson Sings Again), as well as Broadway's Kally Duling (Fun Home) and Laiona Michelle (Amazing Grace) have been cast in Christopher Demos-Brown's gripping military drama American Hero, on stage January 30 through February 25.

The Eli and Edythe Broad Stage in Santa Monica and Eva Price present Small Mouth Sounds by Drama Desk Award winner Bess Wohl (Pretty Filthy), and directed by Tony Award nominee Rachel Chavkin (Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812) for three weeks only, January 11 through 28 with a press opening on January 12.
