Writer/Director Harry Brandrick’s THE OUT is a poignant and personal story as his own father battled with drug addiction for most of his life. Processing this relationship provided the seed for this story which follows a recovering heroin addict who is trying to get his life back together after leaving a penitentiary.
In this 2022 Year of Chicago Dance, small dance companies offer hundreds of programs and performances across Chicago neighborhoods, providing opportunities for all ages and walks of life to learn, watch, and enjoy dance. What did our critic think? This past weekend Signature Theatre and Wolf Trap teamed up for the second annual edition of Broadway in The Park which like last year featured some of Signature Theatre’s best performers, two Broadway headliners and a 25, yes, 25-piece orchestra. The result was a truly lovely evening of showtunes from multiple decades.
