Birmingham Stage Company today announces its new production of Billionaire Boy will run at Bloomsbury Theatre as part of the previously announced UK tour. The production sees the company renew its collaboration with bestselling children's author David Walliams, following the stage adaptations of Awful Auntie and the Olivier Award nominated Gangsta Granny. Billionaire Boy opens at Bloomsbury Theatre on 13 December and runs until 5 January as part of a UK tour.

The bestselling children's author David Walliams and the award-winning Birmingham Stage Company have today announced a new production of Billionaire Boy to tour Britain. This will be their third collaboration after the Olivier Award nominated Gangsta Granny and acclaimed Awful Auntie productions. Billionaire Boy started life as a David Walliams novel for children in 2010, published by HarperCollins Children's Books, and was filmed for the BBC in 2016. It will now embark on a national tour on 26 September 2019 from Horsham's Capitol Theatre.

Today, Les Enfants Terrible's sister company Les Petits Theatre Company have announced that the stage adaptation of David Walliams' The First Hippo on the Moon will begin a major UK Tour in December 2016. Visiting 30 venues across the UK, the production will receive its world premiere at the Royal Hippodrome Theatre, Eastbourne from 13 December 2016 until 7 January 2017. Suitable for children aged three and up, casting for The First Hippo on the Moon will be announced in due course.

Directed by David Goldyn, previews begin March 31 at Davenport Theatre with opening night slated for April 7. The production will now star Kate Katcher, who debuted on Broadway in Fiddler on the Roof opposite Zero Mostel and repeated the role of Tzeitel with Herschel Bernardi, directed by Jerome Robbins. She also appeared in Wonderful Town with Lauren Bacall and Two for the Seesaw directed by Judith Ivey. Katcher replaces Daisy Eagan, who leaves the cast to star in Wit in North Carolina.
