The Franklin Stage Company, Delaware County's renowned classical summer theater, announces their 26th season, from July 1st weekend through August 21. “We're so excited to be able to bring a full season of art and performance back to our Chapel Hall performance space” said Patricia Buckley, Co-Artistic Director of the theater. “We've got a stellar season that we can't wait to bring to the Western Catskills.” 

Due to medical reasons maestro Riccardo Minasi had to withdraw from all engagements in May and June 2022, including the new production of Der Freischütz.

Following the success and fun of last summer’s tour together, Gov’t Mule – led by GRAMMY® Award-winning vocalist, songwriter, guitar legend, and producer Warren Haynes – and GRAMMY-nominated singer, songwriter, and horn-blower Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue have announced a run of five co-headlining shows for this August.

Today, singer/songwriter Michael McArthur announced his new album Milky Stars will release on September 9th through Transoceanic Records/Soundly Music. Recorded in Nashville and produced by Grammy-winner Jacquire King (Tom Waits, Kings of Leon, James Bay, Kaleo, Modest Mouse), McArthur's sophomore effort is rooted in his own mix of rock, raw soul, and lushly layered indie folk.

Following a transformative season of performances—including three regional premieres, the inaugural year of the National Capital New Play Festival, and the world premieres of Tim J. Lord's “We declare you a terrorist…” and Charly Evon Simpson's “it's not a trip it's a journey”—Round House is excited for audiences to return and experience a celebration of live theatre, with a slate of shows designed to remind them of the power, joy, and necessity of this art form.

Brooklyn-based Argentine singer/songwriter Federico Aubele shares the third, cinematic track, and its accompanying self-directed video, 'The Sacrifice,' today from his forthcoming LP, The Holographic Moon. 'The Sacrifice,' produced by Aubele himself, brings listeners to the center of a swelling storm.

The San Francisco–based Kronos Quartet/Kronos Performing Arts Association (KPAA) and SFJAZZ are pleased to present the Bay Area premiere of At War With Ourselves - 400 Years of You, an evening-length song cycle exploring race relations and movements for social justice, civil rights, and resistance. At War With Ourselves will have two San Francisco performances at SFJAZZ Center, May 7-8, 2022. 

Kronos Quartet returns to New York City with a performance in Zankel Hall on Saturday, April 23 at 9:30 p.m. The ensemble makes a timely statement with an eclectic program featuring George Crumb’s Black Angels, the iconic work that inspired the founding of the ensemble. The piece is a powerful parable written in response to the Vietnam War, scored for amplified string quartet with percussive sounds, spoken-word passages, and other special effects.

On Friday, May 20, 2022, the renowned Kronos Quartet releases the world premiere recording of Mỹ Lai, the acclaimed opera composed by Jonathan Berger with libretto by Harriet Scott Chessman, on Smithsonian Folkways Recordings.

The Kronos Quartet/Kronos Performing Arts Association (KPAA) is pleased to announce the occasion of KPAA Executive Director and Kronos Manager Janet Cowperthwaite’s 40th Anniversary.

But their third full-length album ventures into a new season: both members, Doug Kwartler and Susan Levine, lost parents during the making of the record, which profoundly impacted their perspective. The characters in these songs are no longer lamenting about being lied to or hurt by others.
