Production images have been released for the UK Tour of Stephen Daldry’s multi award-winning National Theatre production of JB Priestley’s AN INSPECTOR CALLS, playing at Alexandra Palace until Saturday 21 September before visiting 26 venues across the UK.  Check out the photos here!

PW Productions has announced the full cast for the 2024-25 UK Tour of Stephen Daldry's multi award-winning National Theatre production of JB Priestley's AN INSPECTOR CALLS, opening at Alexandra Palace on Friday 30 August, where it will play for 3 weeks.

New play HAFFKINE will have a rehearsed reading at JW3 on Monday 10 June 2024 at 7pm.

Original Theatre Company's online on demand production, INTO THE NIGHT, returns this winter from 18 November at 7.30pm. Marking the 41st anniversary of the Penlee Lifeboat disaster, there will also be an online discussion on Sunday 18 December (3:15pm – 4pm).

 Marking 40 years since the event, INTO THE NIGHT is a unique theatrical performance being streamed online to UK and international audiences from 12 January 2022 at 7.30pm (GMT), with an extended run until 20 February 2022. 

We talk to cast members Tom Chambers, Susan Penhaligon and Tim Treloar, as well as the show’s director, Alastair Whatley about Into The Night.

Marking 40 years since the event, INTO THE NIGHT is a unique theatrical performance which will be broadcast live on Saturday 18 December 2021 at 5.30pm. The filmed performance will then be available on demand from 6 – 30 January 2022. 

On Saturday 19 December 1981, the Penlee lifeboat ‘Solomon Browne’, was launched in hurricane conditions to go to the aid of the coaster ‘Union Star’ that had engine failure and was being swept towards the southern coast of Cornwall. It was an attempted rescue which ranks not only with the greatest in the history of the RNLI, but with any human achievement.  

The Original Theatre Company in association with Martyn Hayes presents  INTO THE NIGHT by Frazer Flintham based on the book Penlee: The Loss of a Lifeboat by Michael Sagar-Fenton.

Janie Dee has had to withdraw from the production of The Haunting of Alice Bowles for personal reasons, but the producers, Original Theatre Company, have announced that Tamzin Outhwaite will now be playing the titular character in this new supernatural thriller by Philip Franks, adapted for the first time from the M.R. James chilling short ghost story, The Experiment.

The Original Theatre Company commemorate the 104th anniversary of the Battle of the Somme by bringing their adaptation of Sebastian Faulks's Birdsong to the screen. Building on the techniques used to stream during the early stages of lockdown, Birdsong loses none of its power, relevance, or sense of storytelling.

There will be a fully cast, abridged virtual production of Rachel Wagstaff's highly acclaimed adaptation of Sebastian Faulks's best-selling novel BIRDSONG, streamed online on 1 July 2020, the anniversary of the Battle of the Somme.

Artistic Director Tamara Harvey directs Ifan Huw Dafydd (Dewi), Carly-Sophia Davies (Jess), Caitlin Drake (Myfanwy), Ellis Duffy (Gary), Michael Geary (Evan), Lowri Hamer (Bethan), Victoria John (Big Nell), Kristian Phillips (Lloyd), Adam Redmore (Mark/Will), Rebecca Smith-Williams (Mary) and Tim Treloar (Dylan). The production opens at Theatr Clwyd on 2 October, with previews from 26 September, until 12 October.

Birdsong, based on the book by Sebastian Faulks, is a brutal and beautiful observation of war and remembrance, with this new revival touring in time for the Armistice centenary this November.

Wait Until Dark first opened on Broadway in 1966, but many know it from the 1967 Hollywood film, where the lead role of Susy went to Audrey Hepburn, who was nominated for an Academy Award and a Golden Globe for the role.
