The MTH Theater at Crown Center announced today they have added two key members to their full time staff. Melissa Ford joins MTH as Director of Development, and Mark Exline as Production Manager/Technical Coordinator.

The MTH Theater at Crown Center has announced casting and additional details about its first show of the 2019 season, BIG BANDS ARE BETTER. The original revue, highlighting the evolution of the Big Band Era, will be directed by Jessalyn Kincaid and feature music supervision and big band arrangements by Brad Cox.

Jerome Kern and Oscar Hammerstein II touched off an earthquake in Musical Theater with their 1927 musicalized version of Edna Ferber's 'Show Boat.' Kansas City Repertory Theatre launches its 2018/2019 season with the World Premiere musical, LAST DAYS OF SUMMER, September 7 - 30, 2018. LAST DAYS is based on the book by author Steve Kluger, who also wrote the book and lyrics for this production. LAST DAYS OF SUMMER features music by Grammy winner Jason Howland, is directed and choreographed by Tony nominee Jeff Calhoun (Broadway's NEWSIES, KCRep's BETWEEN THE LINES), and is produced by special arrangement with Daryl Roth (Broadway's KINKY BOOTS and INDECENT, KCRep's BETWEEN THE LINES).

MTH is excited to welcome Corey Cott for his solo show AN EVENING WITH COREY COTT; Monday, September 24 at 7pm. Most recently Corey originated the role of Donny Novitski and received critical acclaim for his performance in the Tony Award winning musical Bandstand. Previous roles include two years starring as Jack Kelly in Disney's Newsies, his Broadway debut, which was immediately followed by the Broadway revival of Gigi starring opposite Vanessa Hudgens. Corey's solo show includes songs and stories from his Broadway career as well as a few surprises!
