Gina D'Acciaro is... Famous Adjacent, based on the life and career story of Gina D'Acciaro, directed and choreographed by Robert Marra, produced by Rockwell Table & Stage. The show, a hilarious musical cabaret journey through one woman's real life stories and what it's really like to be 6 inches away from stardom, is presenting a special encore performance, Wednesday July 17th, at Rockwell Table & Stage in Hollywood.

Metropolitan Entertainment and the Rochester Broadway Theatre League (RBTL) today announced the Roy Orbison & Buddy Holly: The Rock 'N' Roll Dream Tour, the groundbreaking holographic-based live concert tour featuring the music of the award-winning rock and roll legends, will come to RBTL's Auditorium Theatre in Rochester on Sunday, November 17, 2019 at 7:30pm.

Desert Ensemble Theatre Company (DETC) today announced the company's ninth season.

Desert Ensemble Theatre Company (DETC) announced its ninth anniversary season which will include a musical revue 'On The Twenty-First Century' and the award winning plays 'Adoption Roulette', 'Surviving The Apocolypse' and 'Man And Wife'.Artistic Director Jerome Elliott stated: "In reading scripts for 2019­-20, we reaffirmed our commitment to providing Desert audiences an experience of adventure and discovery with a season of inventive and groundbreaking theatre. This process led us to a diverse group of plays including a world premiere and two new works not previously produced in Southern California."

The 10th annual KC SuperStar kicks into high gear on Monday night, June 3 at 7 p.m. as 20 area high school students* compete in the Semifinals in the coveted singing competition. The Semis will be held in the White Theatre of the Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City, which sponsors the competition.

The Rochester Broadway Theatre League (RBTL) is pleased to announce that it will join other professional theater organizations from across the country participating in the eleventh annual presentation of "The Jimmy Awards", to be held in New York City on June 24th at the Minskoff Theatre on Broadway. The National High School Musical Theater Awards (NHSMTA), founded and produced by Nederlander Presentations, Inc. and Pittsburgh CLO, is a national celebration of outstanding student achievement that recognizes individual artistry in vocal, dance and acting performances by high school students. "The Jimmy Award" is named in honor of James M. Nederlander, legendary Broadway theater owner and producer.

Arizona Theatre Company Artistic Director Sean Daniels' play about his unusual path to sobriety, The White Chip, a co-production with 2014 Broadway Global Producer of the Year Tom Kirdahy (Hadestown, Frankie & Johnnie in the Clare Du Lune, Anastasia) will be on stage Off Broadway at 59E59 Theaters in New York City from Oct. 4-26.

It's October 4, 1965, and Pope Paul VI is spending 14 hours in New York City, marking the first visit by a reigning pope to the United States. Millions line the streets to greet him and zookeeper Artie Shaughnessy, a wannabe Hollywood songwriter with big dreams and no discernible talent, joins the throngs in the hope that a papal blessing will help propel him out of Queens, away from his mentally ill wife, Bananas, and into a new life in Los Angeles with his girlfriend, Bunny Flingus.

In celebration of WAITRESS, on national tour in Rochester June 4-9, the Rochester Broadway Theatre League (RBTL), in partnership with 13WHAM, announces a local search for a pie recipe from the heart. As pie is a key ingredient to the storytelling of the show, RBTL is seeking pie recipes, and the stories behind them, that mimic Jenna's whimsical creations. Bakers may submit a photo and the story behind their most creative, whimsical pie recipe - the kind of recipe that expresses your hopes, dreams, fears or frustrations - something baked right from the heart. Three finalist stories will be selected on May 24th to move forward to the taste-testing and recipe judging on May 30th. A panel of judges including 13WHAM News Anchor Norma Holland and chef Jerry Manley will choose the winning pie during a taste-tasting live on Good Day Rochester. The winner's recipe and story will be featured as an insert in the official WAITRESS cookbook during the Rochester engagement. The winner will also be featured on the RBTL and WAITRESS social channels, and will receive tickets to the show!

Nettle Creek Players, a 501c3 not-for-profit arts organization in Hagerstown, Indiana, has announced its 2019 troupe of visiting professional theatre artists who will live in the community for nine weeks as they prepare and present the Nettle Creek Players 2019 Summer Stock Tent Theatre Season featuring productions of JOSEPH & THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT, GERSHWIN & FRIENDS: A BROADWAY SONGBOOK CABARET, and RUMPELSTILTSKIN, OR THE FAIRIE'S SECRET NAME. Performances of JOESPH will be at 7:30pm on July 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20, 25, 26 & 27 & 5:00pm on July 7 with GERSHWIN & FRIENDS at 5:00pm on July 14, 21 & 28 and RUMPELSTILTSIKIN at 11:00am on July 20 & 27. All performances will take place in the Nettle Creek Players Show Tent at 150 N. Plum Street in historic downtown Hagerstown, Indiana. J's Cultural Arts Theatre presents John Bishop's THE MUSICAL COMEDY MURDERS OF 1940, the fifth & last production of the inaugural season of the new Alan & Diane Lieberman Theater & the JCAT's 12th season, at the Feldenkreis/Hanono Cultural Center at the Michael-Ann Russell JCC/Sanford L. Ziff Campus in North Miami Beach, Florida. Running from May 7-19, 2019, THE MUSICAL COMEDY MURDERS OF 1940 is directed by John Ferry, with Lighting Design by Zachary Pitchman, Costume Design by Carole Barou-Mootoo. Lilian Andron Stage Manages. The production is presented through the MARJCC's Cultural Arts Department.

Producer Jeffrey Seller, Rochester Broadway Theatre League (RBTL) and Albert Nocciolino today announced the digital lottery for HAMILTON tickets will begin in conjunction with the show's first performance (April 23) in Rochester at RBTL's Auditorium Theatre.  Forty (40) tickets will be sold for every performance for $10 each.  The digital lottery will open at 11:00 AM ET on Sunday, April 21 for tickets to the Tuesday, April 23 performance.  Subsequent digital lotteries will begin two days prior to each performance.  

Indecent, a haunting drama about a Jewish theatre troupe and its devotion to a controversial play, and Memphis, an exuberant musical about the racial divide in early days of rock and roll, took their respective places in South Florida theatrical history as Best Play and Best Musical on Monday, April 8, when the winners of the 43rd annual Carbonell Awards were announced. The ceremony was held at Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Fort Lauderdale.
