BWW Review: THE NOISE WE MAKE, NST Young Company

Nuffield Southampton Theatres (NST) was one of the first UK theatres to suffer at the hands of coronavirus. After its fall into administration in May, and subsequent closure two months later, youa??d be forgiven for thinking that its days of influence and inspiration were over.

Guest Blog: Director Lucy Morrell On THE CREATURE [FRANKENSTEIN RETOLD] at Rose Theatre Kingston

Working on The Creature [Frankenstein Retold] has been the biggest challenge but also the absolute highlight of my career. Ciaran McConville' s play has a complex narrative where the audience are told a story-within-a-story in snippets, along with the characters. Now, as the withdrawal date fluctuates, the Fringe First-winning, globe-spanning show about how we acquire our national identity, and what happens when we try to escape it, confronts head on the guilt, alienation and identity crisis experienced in response to the biggest political upheaval of the Century.
