Mizner Park Cultural Center will once again host a wide variety of entertainment and events over the coming weeks.  Comedy, music, magic, and live theatre are all on the popular venue's schedule during March and April.  Below is a list of just a few of the performances that will take place at the Center this spring:

Tickets Are Now Available For the Carbonell Awards

Spinning Tree Theatre announces the 10th anniversary season of plays and musicals, featuring 3 Kansas City premieres and the local-cast premiere of a hit Off-Broadway musical. Onstage headliners include Vanessa Severo, Nedra Dixon and Illeana Kirven. Directors Heidi Van and Jeff Church make their Spinning Tree debuts in the new season, which includes recent works by Quiara Alegría Hudes (In the Heights; Pulitzer Prize for Water by the Spoonful) and Terrence McNally (Tony Awards for Love! Valour! Compassion! and Master Class).

New Perspectives Theatre Company Presents Next Reading In ON HER SHOULDERS Program

On Her Shoulders presentS staged readings of four short plays by Eulalie Spence: Episode, The Hunch, The Starter and Undertow on Wednesday, March 25, 2020. The evening is directed by Arminda Thomas who also provides The Play in Context, situating the scripts in their historical time and place. Doors open at 6:45pm for a 7:00pm start with the PIC lecture, followed by the readings and a post-performance Q&A with refreshments.

A CHORUS LINE takes Firestone Theatre stage Six Times In April

Firestone Theatre presents the school edition of the seminal musical A Chorus Line. Evening performances will be held at 7:30 p.m. on April 3, 4, 9, 10, and 11, 2020. A single matinee performance will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 5, 2020. General admission tickets are $10.00 in advance, and $12.00 at the door. A reserved seat is available online for $14.00 and a premium VIP seat is $17.00. Tickets are available online now at FirestoneTheatre.com. Hard tickets will be available at the school between 11 and 1:00 p.m. starting Monday, March 23, 2020. Tickets for A Chorus Line will also be available at the door on the evening of performance.
