Mizner Park Cultural Center will once again host a wide variety of entertainment and events over the coming weeks.  Comedy, music, magic, and live theatre are all on the popular venue's schedule during March and April.  Below is a list of just a few of the performances that will take place at the Center this spring:   

When was the last time you saw a play about a pair of compelling teenage characters that in its final moments left you breathless? I And You is that play - a youthful, humorous, powerful and profoundly moving story now playing at The Public Theatre.

Donald R. Walters, Esq., board president of the Carbonell Awards, South Florida's Theatre & Arts Honors, today announced that tickets go on public sale today for the April 6 awards ceremony at 7:30 pm at Lauderhill Performing Arts Center, 3800 NW 11th Place in Lauderhill (33311).

Spinning Tree Theatre announces the 10th anniversary season of plays and musicals, featuring 3 Kansas City premieres and the local-cast premiere of a hit Off-Broadway musical. Onstage headliners include Vanessa Severo, Nedra Dixon and Illeana Kirven. Directors Heidi Van and Jeff Church make their Spinning Tree debuts in the new season, which includes recent works by Quiara Alegría Hudes (In the Heights; Pulitzer Prize for Water by the Spoonful) and Terrence McNally (Tony Awards for Love! Valour! Compassion! and Master Class).

On Her Shoulders presentS staged readings of four short plays by Eulalie Spence: Episode, The Hunch, The Starter and Undertow on Wednesday, March 25, 2020. The evening is directed by Arminda Thomas who also provides The Play in Context, situating the scripts in their historical time and place. Doors open at 6:45pm for a 7:00pm start with the PIC lecture, followed by the readings and a post-performance Q&A with refreshments.

Joey Mendoza considers himself a private man. He balks at the attention and prefers to let his work take the stage - literally. He's in the public eye, nonetheless, because brilliant work inevitably betrays its source.

Firestone Theatre presents the school edition of the seminal musical A Chorus Line. Evening performances will be held at 7:30 p.m. on April 3, 4, 9, 10, and 11, 2020. A single matinee performance will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 5, 2020. General admission tickets are $10.00 in advance, and $12.00 at the door. A reserved seat is available online for $14.00 and a premium VIP seat is $17.00. Tickets are available online now at FirestoneTheatre.com. Hard tickets will be available at the school between 11 and 1:00 p.m. starting Monday, March 23, 2020. Tickets for A Chorus Line will also be available at the door on the evening of performance.

Full casting has been announced for NY Classical Theatre's staged reading of Carlyle Brown's drama The African Company Presents Richard III, which will be performed on two nights in March in Harlem and midtown.

Nikki opens up about how the loss of her father changed her so deeply at a very young age and that time she was in London and got a call asking if she might be able to take over in the London production of Mormon -that night- even though she had been out of the Broadway production for quite a while. OriginKC: New Works Festival engages audiences with the process of creating theater and gives emerging and established playwrights the resources to develop scripts for future seasons at KCRep and beyond.

Hub Theatre Company of Boston will launch its highly anticipated season of 'somewhat-Shakespeare' with Wittenberg, a witty and withering piece of historic fanfiction by award-winning playwright David Davalos. The show, directed by Daniel Bourque, runs Friday, March 27 through Saturday, April 11, 2020 at First Church Boston, 66 Marlborough Street in Boston's Back Bay.

Honeck-Moss Productions will present a?oeIn The Works.a?? This exciting series is an opportunity for composers to try out new work in front of an audience and see how it plays in a supportive environment. It is also an opportunity to create community among the composers and their performers.

Māyā, a new musical by Cheeyang Ng (book/music) and Eric Sorrels (book/lyrics), will hold industry readings on February 9th and 10th, 2020 at The Growing Studio.

Skylight Theatre Company, recognized for their unwavering commitment to developing new works, has confirmed a 2020 lineup of three plays, and a fourth TBA. All plays are new to Los Angeles.

The most perfect a?oedate nighta?? show The Public Theatre has ever produced opens Friday. Don't miss the hilarious and touching comedy Sexy Laundry, playing January 24 through February 2 at The Public Theatre.

This June, Maine State Music Theatre (MSMT) in Brunswick and The Public Theatre (TPT) in Lewiston will combine their artistic talents and produce a musical The Public Theatre stage.
