As one of the nation's leading professional theaters and recipient of the Regional Theatre Tony Award, Paper Mill Playhouse (Mark S. Hoebee-Producing Artistic Director, Michael Stotts-Managing Director) has a well-earned reputation for launching both performers and shows to Broadway. Since their inception in 1996, the Paper Mill Playhouse Rising Star Awards for Excellence in High School Musical Theatre have ignited the careers of many notable performers, all of whom attended high school in New Jersey. 

New York City's premier cabaret highlighting the talents of transgender, nonbinary, and gender non-conforming performers returns to The Duplex to celebrate World Pride on Saturday, June 22nd at 9:30pm. The show is directed by Donnie Cianciotto, with Musical Direction by Anessa Marie and. Cianciotto will also serve as the emcee of the evening.

Just last night, The Public Theater celebrated its Annual Gala, WOMEN OF THE PUBLIC, at the Delacorte Theater. Directed by Leigh Silverman, with music direction by Mary-Mitchell Campbell, it celebrated those who shaped our past and guide our future. 

Corkscrew Theater Festival is pleased to announce the mainstage casts for its third annual festival, which runs July 10-August 3 at the Paradise Factory (64 East 4th Street, Manhattan). The festival features four world premieres, four workshop productions, and four readings performed in repertory over four weeks, with 80 performances in all. As in past years, special attention has been given to theater makers who are developing work through tight-knit collaborations. Tickets are now on sale.

Uptown Players continues its 2018-2019 season with the regional premiere of The View Upstairs, by Max Vernon, running June 21 - July 7, 2019. The all-star cast assembled for this 2017 off-broadway hit includes the return to the Kalita Humphreys Theater of Blake McIver and New York Cabaret Singer, William Blake.

A new block of tickets for the Broadway production of Hamilton will be made available on Tuesday June 11 at 10:00 AM ET exclusively through Ticketmaster Verified Fan. ACT (A Contemporary Theater) of Connecticut is excited to announce that TONY Award nominee Kate Baldwin, recent star of the Broadway revival of HELLO, DOLLY!, will join ACT's Resident Music Supervisor, Bryan Perri, on July 20, 2019 for the Broadway Unplugged Series!

Woodie King's New Federal Theatre has set four plays for the June, 2019 edition of its Annual Ntozake Shange Readings Series. The series will run four Tuesdays--June 4, 11, 18 and 25--with all readings at Castillo Theatre, 543 W 42nd Street.

Musician, entrepreneur and arts advocate Lindsay Rider, will produce So Far, An Evening to Benefit Young at Arts, Westchester's most impactful performing arts educational organization, on June 21 at The Public Theater's Joe's Pub. A mixed songbook performed by Rider, actor and singer Jeremy Jordan, and select students from Young at Arts, the evening is a celebration of the importance of arts education while shining a light on the mission of Young at Arts and the commitment to build bridges through the performing arts.

La Jolla Playhouse announced today the appointment of National Disability Theatre (NDT) Co-Executive Directors Talleri A. McRae and Mickey Rowe as the Playhouse's 2019/2020 Artists-in-Residence.

Celebrity Attractions and Tulsa Performing Arts Center Trust are thrilled to announce the BLUE MAN GROUP SPEECHLESS TOUR will make its Tulsa premiere at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center for a limited three performance engagement January 20-22. Ticket on sale dates to be announced at a later date.

This summer Goodspeed Musicals will produce the heartwarming new musical Because of Winn Dixie. This touching tale based on the award-winning novel by Kate DiCamillo will run June 28 - September 1 at The Goodspeed in East Haddam, Conn.

Blue Man Group announced today the launch of their new tour, Speechless, officially opening September 24, 2019 at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles after developing the production at the Walton Arts Center in Fayetteville, AR.

Producer Jeffrey Seller and the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) announced today that single tickets for HAMILTON will go on sale to the public on Saturday, June 8 at 8 AM at ppacri.org and in person at the PPAC Box Office (220 Weybosset Street). Tickets will be available for performances July 23 - August 11, 2019. The heavily anticipated 10th anniversary special engagement of Storm Large's autobiographical, one-woman rock musical Crazy Enough opens June 25 on the U.S. Bank Main Stage. Crazy Enough broke records at The Armory in 2009 with a sold-out, 21-week run. Beginning with stories of a childhood complicated by her mother's schizophrenia, Large takes us through the ups and downs of the years that follow - sex, drugs, running away to California, and the saving grace of rock 'n' roll.  Crazy Enough features original songs by Large and James Beaton, including the hilarious and incredibly catchy "My Vagina is Eight Miles Wide." Original music director Beaton returns to the production. Crazy Enough will open on Large's 50th birthday.

TheatreWorks Silicon Valley announces a stellar cast of acclaimed Broadway and TV stars for The Language Archive, launching the Tony Award-winning theatre company's celebratory 50th Anniversary season. Written by Julia Cho, whose Aubergine captured rapturous praise and multiple awards, The Language Archive is balanced delightfully between affection and adversity. The quirky comedy tells the whimsical, life-affirming chronicle of a linguist fighting to preserve the dying languages of far-flung cultures, only to neglect the promise and passion of his own.

The Public Theater announced casting today for CORIOLANUS, the second show of The Public's 2019 Free Shakespeare in the Park season. Directed by Tony Award winner Daniel Sullivan, the war-torn tragedy seen for the first time in 40 years, begins performances on Tuesday, July 16 and runs through Sunday, August 11, with an official press opening on Monday, August 5.
