'Indecent,' by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Paula Vogel, opened on June 9 at Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre. Directed by Rebecca Taichman in a co-production with Huntington Theatre Company, the Tony Award-nominated 'Indecent' will run through July 7, 2019.

Company of Fools (COF) is proud to announce that it is the first theater in Idaho to join the ranks of the country's most prestigious supporters of new theatrical work - the National New Play Network (NNPN). COF joins American Shakespeare Center, Florida Repertory Theatre, Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, Native Voices at the Autry, San Francisco Playhouse, Skylight Theatre Company, South Coast Repertory, The Public Theater and another 50 or so internationally recognized theatres across the United States as one of NNPN's associate members. Membership in NNPN will help COF expand its longstanding commitment to supporting new plays and commissioning new theatrical work.

Kimmel Center & Joe's Pub Partner To Present 6th Annual Philadelphia Theater Residency

The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts and Joe's Pub team up again for the Kimmel Center Theater Residency. Under the guidance of Jay Wahl, Producing Artistic Director of the Kimmel Center, Shanta Thake, Senior Director of Artistic Programs for The Public Theater, and Alex Knowlton, Director of Joe's Pub, the Theater Residency program serves as an host for artists and their collaborators to create and develop music and theater projects. The residency will be held in the Kimmel Center's SEI Innovation Studio from June 18 29 with Public Readings, FREE and open to the public, on June 28 and 29. Readings will be followed by Q&A sessions with the artists.

As previously announced, Sea Wall / A Life, which recently played to sold-out audiences at The Public Theater, will open on Broadway this summer. Written by Simon Stephens and Nick Payne respectively, directed by Carrie Cracknell, and starring Academy Award nominee Jake Gyllenhaal, who received a Drama League Award nomination for his performance in the show at The Public Theater, and Tony Award nominee Tom Sturridge who received a Lucille Lortel Award nomination for his performance in the show at The Public Theater, Sea Wall / A Life will begin performances on Friday, July 26 at Hudson Theatre (141 West 44th Street), with the opening night set for Thursday, August 8.
