A Christmas Carol The Musical is back by popular demand at The Public Theater of San Antonio, the longest running theatre company in Texas.

Ma-Yi Theater Company announced that Michi Barall is the inaugural recipient of a Generation Now commission from Ma-Yi Theater Company and The Children's Theatre Company in Minneapolis.

The Civilians is presenting the newest members of The R&D Group, marking the Group’s 12th season. The R&D Group is comprised of playwrights, composers, and directors who work together as a writing group for nine months to develop new plays and musicals.

The Public Theater will begin previews for the world premiere of PLAYS FOR THE PLAGUE YEAR on Friday, November 4. The Tank, in partnership with The Flying Carpet Theatre Company, announced the return of a special production of Crystal Skillman’s magical play OPEN, featuring the original direction of Jessi D. Hill and starring Lily Ali-Oshatz. The production will play a free preview performance on Monday November 14, 2022 at 4pm at The Tank.

Two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Lynn Nottage and director Kate Whoriskey will bring their latest Broadway triumph, “Clyde’s,” a co-production with Goodman Theatre in Chicago to the Mark Taper Forum November 15 to December 18. It recently concluded the Goodman engagement.

Audible Inc. will present the world premiere of Lucy, written and directed by BAFTA Award nominee Erica Schmidt (Cyrano, MacBeth). Performances of the limited five-week-only engagement will begin Saturday, January 28, 2023 with an official opening on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at the Minetta Lane Theatre.

Ain't No Mo', which was previously set to begin previews on Broadway on Thursday, November 3 at the Belasco Theatre (111 W. 44th St), will now begin previews on Wednesday, November 9 due to Covid cases in the company. It will officially open on Thursday, December 1.

Following.a sold-out concert at Joe's Pub at the Public Theater, Lincoln Center will present 'LUNA & THE STARBODIES', in concert at Lincoln Center's David Rubenstein Atrium October 27 at 7:30 PM. The event is free and open to the public, with seating and entry first-come, first-served. 

Kiki & Herb: DO YOU HEAR WHAT WE HEAR? runs Thursday, December 1 through Sunday, December 11. Hot off the heels of their sold-out run at Brooklyn Academy of Music last year, this tour will be Kiki & Herb's first shows out of NYC since 2007.

New York Theatre Workshop has announced that Obie Award winner and NYTW Usual Suspect Taibi Magar (Help) will direct the previously announced production of The Half-God of Rainfall by Hay Festival Medal for Poetry winner Inua Ellams (Barber Shop Chronicles), part of NYTW’s 2022/23 season.
