Brenda Liz Henry to Present A BOOGIE DOWN BRONX TALE at The Green Room 42
Lina Koutrakos directs the solo cabaret debut featuring the Gregory Toroian Trio.
The Green Room 42 will present Brenda Liz Henry in “A Boogie Down Bronx Tale” on June 4th and June 20th. Making her solo cabaret show debut, Brenda will tell the story behind her musical journey and music's role in her life. The show will feature a variety of musical genres that inspired Brenda growing up, including the genre that was born in her borough - Hip Hop. Audiences will learn not only about the role that music played in Brenda's life, but also how she found her way to the cabaret stage. At the end, Brenda hopes audiences will come away connecting to the universal elements of her personal story. The show features Gregory Toroian, piano, arranger, and musical director, David Silliman, drums, Skip Ward, bass and Lina Koutrakos, director.
Brenda Liz Henry in “A Boogie Down Bronx Tale” plays at The Green Room 42 on Thursday, June 4th at 7pm and Saturday, June 20th at 1pm. Tickets are available starting at $19, with no food or beverage minimum.
From her earliest memories, Brenda Liz Henry has loved music and storytelling. Over the last decade, Brenda has performed at Don't Tell Mama, The Duplex, and Pangea. Of a December 2025 group holiday show performance, Bart Greenberg, Cabaret Scenes, wrote “Following that was the confident Brenda Henry. She knew her material and was sure of how to use her excellent voice. She projected a relaxed presence that allowed the audience to relax as well.
