Charter Oak Cultural Center And Immanuel Congregational Church Announce Reading Of James Baldwin's THE AMEN CORNER

Charter Oak Cultural Center and Immanuel Congregational Church has announced a one-time-only reading of author and activist James Baldwin's first stage play The Amen Corner. The reading, under the direction of acclaimed theatre artist taneisha duggan, will be on Sunday, February 23 at 3pm at Immanuel Congregational Church, located at 10 Woodland Street in Hartford.

TheaterWorks Hartford Extends Amy Berryman's WALDEN To August 29

Due to popular demand, TheaterWorks Hartford, in partnership with Riverfront Recapture, has extended in-person performances of Amy Berryman's debut play, Walden, to August 29. The North American premiere marks a return to in-person events for TheaterWorks Hartford, as well as its first outdoor show in its 35-year history.

TheaterWorks Hartford will present the North American premiere of Amy Berryman’s debut play, Walden. Directed by Mei Ann Teo (Jillian Walker’s SKiNFoLK: An American Show) and taking place on a natural, undeveloped site along the Connecticut River, the production marks a return to in-person events for TheaterWorks Hartford.

Playwrights Realm Announces INK'D FESTIVAL OF NEW PLAYS

As the Playwrights Realm continues its pandemic pivot to being a full-time playwrights service organization, the company announces the 2021 edition of one of the Realm's long-standing programs: the INK'D Festival of New Plays, the culminating event of its Writing Fellowship Program, annually awarding four early-career playwrights nine months of financial and professional resources.
