Trinity Rep Announces Auction For Tickets To THE PRINCE OF PROVIDENCE

Trinity Rep will be auctioning off one pair of premium tickets to the final Saturday night performance of its sold-out run of The Prince of Providence. Proceeds will support the Tony Award-winning theater's education programs. The tickets are for the performance on Saturday, October 26 at 7:30 pm, and are located in the fifth row center on the aisle. The online auction will open at 7:00 am on Tuesday, October 15 and close at 10:00 pm on Sunday, October 20. Bids can be placed at www.32auctions.com/trinityrep.

Trinity Rep Announces Lottery For THE PRINCE OF PROVIDENCE And Additional Ticket Opportunities

In advance of the first performances of The Prince of Providence next week, Trinity Rep is announcing new ways to get tickets for this in-demand production, which has numerous sold-out performances and is already drawing audiences from 23 states. Each Monday at 10:00 am, additional tickets will be released for sale for that week's performances. Those tickets will be sold at regular prices. In addition, the day before each performance, patrons can enter a lottery for a limited number of tickets between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm. Those tickets will be sold for $49. Trinity Rep announces that Chicago-based actor Scott Aiello, best known for his role of Tommy Barkow on the Showtime television series Billions will play Vincent a?oeBuddya?? Cianci in the highly-anticipated upcoming play, The Prince of Providence.  The production will run September 12 a?' October 20 and is expected to sell out. Tickets will go on sale Saturday, August 10 at 10:00 am online and in-person at the theater.

We Live in Cairo just finished a successful run at American Repertory Theatre (A.R.T.) in Cambridge. The musical was inspired by the young Egyptians who took to the streets in 2011 to overthrow President Hosni Mubarak, this world premiere musical follows six revolutionary students armed with laptops and cameras, guitars and spray cans as they come of age in contemporary Cairo. Winner of the Richard Rodgers Award for Musical Theater, We Live in Cairo moves from the jubilation of Tahrir Square through the tumultuous years that followed. As escalating division and violence lead to a military crackdown, the revolutionaries of Tahrir must confront the question of how-or even whether-to keep their dreams of change alive.

Brothers Daniel and Patrick Lazour have found a creative home at the American Repertory Theater for the world premiere of their musical WE LIVE IN CAIRO. In collaboration with Director Taibi Magar and Choreographer Samar Haddad King, the Lazours have continued to develop the book, music, and lyrics in the supportive incubator of the A.R.T. following workshops at the Eugene O'Neill National Music Theatre Conference (2015) and the New York Theatre Workshop (2016 Richard Rodgers Award). Infused with their own cultural experiences, the knowledge gained from their research and travels, and the influence of generations of protest music, WE LIVE IN CAIRO is an amalgam of the personal and the political, combining 21st century technology with good old-fashioned songwriting and storytelling techniques.
