The Southbank Centre today announces details about Inside Out, a brand-new online season of music, literature and comedy from 17 September - 30 December.

The Southbank Centre has announced Everyday Heroes, a public art and poetry project that celebrates and highlights the invaluable contributions of all those key workers who have kept the country running during the COVID-19 crisis.

BroadwayWorld has learned that the CATS National Tour has officially closed. Donna Vivino (Grizabella) shared the news in a Facebook post.

92Y's Unterberg Poetry Center continues its celebration of National Poetry Month with archival recordings of readings by many of the best-known poets, including Maya Angelou, W.H. Auden (pictured above), e.e. cummings, T.S. Eliot, Robert Frost, Pablo Neruda (his first U.S. reading), Kay Ryan, U.S. Poet Laureate Joy Harjo, Adrienne Rich, Mary Oliver , Tracy K. Smith and Seamus Heaney, among many others.  All of the poets mentioned have appeared at 92Y as part of the Poetry Center's main reading series; the Poetry Center began in 1939.

BroadwayWorld has learned that WICKED Broadway alumni Donna Vivino will go past the Russel Hotel to the Heaviside Layer as Grizabella on the CATS tour beginning February 2020.

Celine Dion visited the CATS tour in Toronto and met up with the cast following a performance at Toronto's Princess of Wales Theatre last night! Dion famously covered the show's anthem, Memory, in a televised 1987 performance featuring full cat costume and makeup! Check out video of that performance and photos of her visit below!

The new National Tour of CATS, based off the last Broadway revival, is on the road! The musical returns to Toronto starting tomorrow until January 5th at The Princess of Wales Theatre. Toronto news channel, Breakfast Television chatted with Keri Rene Fuller, who plays Grizabella, about the show, and she performed Memory.

The company of the Cats first national tour headed to the diner for a special cover of Waitress's iconic song 'She Used to Be Mine' featuring cast members Maria Failla and Laura Katherine Kaufman. The Denver Center for the Performing Arts announced today that for its 10th Denver engagement, the 2019 North American Tour of CATS has broken the box office record for the highest-gross of an eight-performance engagement at The Buell Theatre. The production grossed $1,724,149.75 during the show's April 24-28, 2019 engagement, creating an estimated economic impact of more than $6.2 million to Denver from travel, hotels, restaurants, parking and other businesses patronized by both theatergoers and production staff. This figure is based upon a Broadway League report which found that, on average, when a Broadway show is in a city, it contributes an economic impact of roughly 3.6 times the gross ticket sales to the local metropolitan area's economy.

In an interview, Taylor Swift - who will play Bombalurina in the upcoming cinematic adaptation of the hit Broadway musicals CATS, shared a new detail about what went on during the shooting of the project.
