Gingold Theatrical Group today announces that Santino Fontana joins the next presentation of the 13th Season of Project Shaw presented monthly at Symphony Space's Leonard Nimoy Thalia Theatre (2537 Broadway at 95th Street). 

Gingold Theatrical Group (David Staller, Artistic Director) is proud to announce the next presentation of the 13th Season of Project Shaw, a special series of evenings offering some of Shaw's greatest works and those of his contemporaries, presented monthly at Symphony Space's Leonard Nimoy Thalia Theatre (2537 Broadway at 95th Street).

The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham) announced complete casting today for the New York premiere of THE LOW ROAD, written by Tony and Pulitzer Prize winner Bruce Norris. Directed by Tony Award nominee Michael Greif, THE LOW ROAD is part of The Public's Astor Anniversary Season at their landmark downtown home on Lafayette Street, celebrating 50 years of new work and the 50th Anniversary of HAIR.

The almost completely circular, arena style seating of Lincoln Center's Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater makes it a perfect venue for The Wolves, Sarah DeLappe's 2017 Pulitzer finalist drama about the individuality hidden beneath the uniformity of a girls soccer team.

After a banner year for their summer festivity and Playwrights for a Cause, Planet Connections Theatre Festivity will be hosting its annual awards ceremony honoring the finest of an outstanding season.

Led by Founding Artistic Director Katherine Kovner and Producing Director Roberta Pereira, The Playwrights Realm kicks off their 2017-18 season with the World Premiere of Michael Yates Crowley's The Rape of the Sabine Women, By Grace B. Matthias (August 25 - September 23) at The Duke on 42nd Street, a New 42nd Street project. Directed by Tyne Rafaeli, this complex collision of satire and dark comedy fearlessly explores rape culture in America and was previously developed as part of The Realm's 2014-15 Writing Fellowship.

Lincoln Center Theater has announced that it will bring the critically-acclaimed, Drama Desk and Obie award-winning production of THE WOLVES, a new play by Sarah DeLappe, directed by Lila Neugebauer, to the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater this fall. 

The 62nd Annual Drama Desk Awards, hosted by Michael Urie, were held at The Town Hall (123 W. 43rd Street) tonight, June 4th.

Pangaea, a play by Erik Champney, will open the Staged Reading Series on June 14 at this summer's Planet Connections Theatre Festivity.

The American Theatre Wing (Heather Hitchens, President) and The Village Voice (Peter Barbey, Owner) are thrilled to announce the winners of the 62nd Annual Obie Awards®. Jennifer Kidwell & Scott R. Sheppard's Underground Railroad Game, produced by Ars Nova, and J.T. Roger's Oslo, produced by Lincoln Center Theater, shared the Obie Awards for Best New American Theatre Work, which is accompanied by a $500 prize each. Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Paula Vogel received a special Obie Award for Lifetime Achievement. Obie and Screen Actors Guild® Award-winning actress Lea DeLaria returned as host of this year's ceremony, which was held at Webster Hall (125 East 11th Street). The Playwrights Realm, led by Katherine Kovner, Founding Artistic Director, and Roberta Pereira, Producing Director, celebrated its tenth anniversary with the annual Writers Block Party honoring Realm Board Member and award-winning playwright and actor, Anna Deavere Smith. The Writers Block Party took place on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at The Stanley H. Kaplan Penthouse in the Samuel B. & David Rose Building, and was hosted by Lauren Patten (Fun Home, The Wolves).
