The NYC Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment (MOME) and New Georges just announced the creation of the “Made in NY” Fund for New Theatrical Works, which will enable artists to fully develop and place new theatrical works in venues across New York City.

New Georges (Susan Bernfield, Artistic Director/Producer; Jaynie Saunders Tiller, Executive Director/Producer) will present Built4Collapse’s world premiere of Iranian Girlfriend, written and directed by SB Tennent.

New Georges has revealed its 2025 Spring Season. The 2025 season will kick off in March with Two Sisters Find A Box of Lesbian Erotica in the Woods. Learn more about the season and see how to purchase tickets.

New Georges has announced its 2024/2025 Season. The season will kick off this fall with A Woman Among Women by Julia May Jonas, featuring music by Brian Cavanagh-Strong anddirection by Sarah Hughes.

New York Stage and Film held their 2022 Winter Party on Monday, December 5 at the Empire Rooftop, 44 West 63rd Street. New Georges will kick off its 30th Anniversary season with a one-night-only special presentation of bb brecht’s Holiday Yuletide Spectacular, created by Miranda Haymon. On Wednesday December 14, 2022, audiences are invited to spend their holiday party season with bb brecht and his friends at Dixon Place.

 Fault Line Theatre will continue the 2022 Season of Irons in the  Fire, the organization’s reading series of new plays in development, with God Save the Queer by Zackary Grady, directed by Portia Krieger and featuring Michael Urie (George), Mallory Portnoy (Charlotte), Keshav Moodliar (Tariq), Seth Clayton (Louis), and Mary McCann (Kate).

Playwrights Kate Cortesi, Brenda Withers, Emily Zemba, and producer victor cervantes jr. are pleased to announce details for the 2021 edition of The Pool, a temporary consortium of playwrights producing their own plays in rep at the New Ohio Theatre from November 1–20, 2021.

The 24 Hour Plays: Viral Monologues will return on Tuesday, September 14th, with an all new series of unforgettable performances. Sixteen actors have been paired with writers who have crafted unique pieces especially for them. From 6 PM until 10 PM, new monologues will be published every 15 minutes.  

New Georges announced today three upcoming theater projects for the Fall 2021 season—Future Wife: Party in a Spreadsheet created by ruth tang and Sarah Blush and performed entirely in Google Sheets; and two in-person shows as part of New Georges’ Supported Productions program.
