Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre has announced full cast and creative team for their forthcoming production of Robin Hood: The Legend. Re-written. 

MCC Theater, in collaboration with The Sol Project, and INTAR Theatre will celebrate their productions this spring with a special street event on Saturday May 13, beginning at 1PM and running until 6PM in front of MCC Theater.

Florida Studio Theatre (FST) opens its 2023 Summer Mainstage Series with Shear Madness, an interactive comedic whodunit where the audience gets to solve the crime. Shear Madness is the longest running play in American history and has been seen by more than 12.5 million people around the world. Full of up-to-the-minute, spontaneous humor, Shear Madness will run in FST’s Gompertz Theatre starting Wednesday, May 31, 2023.

“We Can Do It!” So said Rosie the Riveter, and so say the women of Long Beach in Into the Breeches!, the vibrant new comedy by George Brant that’s up next at International City Theatre. Directed by Brian Shnipper, performances take place June 9 through June 25 at ICT’s home in the Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center. Two low-priced previews are set for June 7 and June 8.

As part of its family-friendly 20th Anniversary Season, Theater Alliance is revisiting a show it produced more than 15 years ago: The Bluest Eye, adapted from Toni Morrison's novel by Lydia R. Diamond. 

Babes With Blades Theatre Company's (BWBTC) 2023 season opens with an extended run of its new works festival, collectively called Fighting Words, June 17– 25 at The Edge Off Broadway, 1133 W. Catalpa.  All performances are free to the public and audiences can provide feedback on the scripts following each reading.

For one weekend only, Austin Shakespeare is bringing Short Shakespeare to the Zilker Hillside Theater. Featuring four plays with five actors and two musicians, Short Shakespeare will be performed free at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, May 18-21.

Cleveland Play House will bring its 2022-2023 season to a close with the world premiere production of Ken Ludwig's Moriarty: A New Sherlock Holmes Adventure. Running April 29 through May 21 in the Allen Theatre at Playhouse Square.

National jazz radio favorites and one of Chicago's most popular musical duos, Anne Burnell and Mark Burnell have released a brand new, stand-alone single to celebrate spring, THE LUSTY MONTH OF MAY.

Ensemble Studio Theatre (Estefanía Fadul and Graeme Gillis, Co-Artistic Directors) and the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation (Doron Weber, Vice President and Program Director) have announced the lineup for the 2023 First Light Festival, part of the EST/Sloan Project to develop plays exploring science and technology.  

On May 23rd from 7-8pm at the Roberts Studio Theatre in the South End of Boston, 2nd Act will premiere a staged reading of their newest play, I'll Be There For You. Created in collaboration with Wayside Family and Youth Services, this play will demonstrate how protective factors, like a supportive community, impact a child's development and their relationship to drugs. The stories at the heart of this play were drawn from interviews with young people in recovery in Greater Boston.

Four April seances did not do the trick, so Award winning actress/playwright/comedian NANCY REDMAN joins forces with iconic director AUSTIN PENDLETON for fourteen more sessions of 'A SÉANCE WITH MOM'.   

Immersive Everywhere’s immersive production of The Great Gatsby has announced casting.

Jacob's Pillow has announced building plans for the reimagined Doris Duke Theatre, a flexible theater on the site of the original Doris Duke Theatre, which was lost to a fire of undetermined cause in November 2020. In replacing what was lost while looking to the future, Jacob's Pillow seeks to create a future-forward dance theater as it looks ahead to its second century. 

Bechdel Project and Ensemble Studio Theatre will present the world premiere reading of Jeanne Dorsey's play, THE KIT: MADE BY MARTHA, directed by Jackson Gay (Transfers by Lucy Thurber - Off-Broadway Alliance Best New Play Award), on May 7th (3pm) and 8th (7pm) in New York City; part of the Alfred P. Sloan 2023 First Light Festival.
