Factory Theatre Announces 2021-2022 Season

Featuring ten world premieres, one Toronto premiere, one live audio drama, and a rebroadcast of an audience favourite from last year, this hybrid season consisting of both digital and in person shows, is filled to the brim with brand new and reimagined Canadian stories that are sure to shift and shape audiences' perspectives on how we view the world around us.  

Outside Edge Theatre Company Will Workshop LESSONS FOR DRIVING

Lessons for Diving by Silas Parry, directed by Matt Steinberg will be workshopped 19-24 July, with showcase on 24 July and performed by Sebastián Capitán Viveros, Patrick McNamee and Dan Wolff. This will be followed by Kristian Phillips' Drift, directed by Matt Steinberg and performed by Tom Rhys Harries, workshopped 26 – 28 July with the showcase on 28 July; and finally, Boomerang by Jack Stanley will be developed 29 – 31 July, with the showcase on 31 July, directed by Jude Christian. Showcases will be at the Jerwood Space.

Florida Studio Theatre Improv Presents COMEDY LOTTERY

Florida Studio Theatre resident improv team, FST Improv, presents the return of its popular show, Comedy Lottery. Dubbed “The Lottery Where Everyone Wins,” Comedy Lottery is designed to keep the improvisers particularly on their toes due to one defining factor: the performers have no idea what games they'll be playing until seconds before the show begins.

Warner Theatre 90th Birthday Party Announced

Warner Theatre is celebrating their 90th Birthday! They are joyfully reopening their doors to the public after a long 16-month closure with a Birthday Party to celebrate their 90 years on Saturday, August 28, 2021, from 3-7 pm in the Carole and Ray Neag Performing Arts Center and Nancy Marine Studio Theatre and you are invited!  

Cherry Lane Theatre Sold to Lucille Lortel Theatre Foundation

Cherry Lane Theatre, the oldest continuously running Off-Broadway theatre in New York City, has a new owner, it has been announced by Angelina Fiordellisi, the theatre’s Executive Director since having acquired the building in 1996.  Cherry Lane is located at 38 Commerce Street in Greenwich Village.

Studio Theatre Announces In-Person 2020-2021 Season

BWW Previews: THE BLACK REP 45TH ANNIVERSARY SEASON at Edison Theater On The Washington University Campus

The Black Rep season opens with “Sweat,” a Pulitzer-Prize winning drama fitting for the current times, followed by “Dontrell, Who Kissed the Sea,” exploring one young man’s present-day heroic quest. The season continues with “Fireflies,” a telling of the complexities of love and color, and “Behind the Sheet,” the untold story behind the sacrifices made for a significant medical breakthrough. Cast Announced for 11th ANNUAL SHORT NEW PLAY FESTIVAL Presented by Red Bull Theater

Red Bull Theater today announced the selections for The 2021 Short New Play Festival, their eleventh annual festival of 10-minute plays of heightened language and classic themes, featuring a World Premiere from José Rivera, alongside six brand new plays that have been selected from hundreds of open submissions from playwrights across the country.
