BIRDLAND THEATER will present the return of living legend Marilyn Maye for a special seven-show holiday engagement from Thursday, December 29 through Sunday, January 1, including the “New Year’s Eve Extravaganza!” on Saturday, December 31.

Ensemble Theatre will stage the long-awaited world premiere of writer and broadcaster, Melanie Tait’s (The Appleton Ladies’ Potato Race) thought-provoking, sharp comedy, A BROADCAST COUP, from 26th January to 4th March 2023.

Obie Award-winning director and playwright, Stevie Walker-Webb, will helm the new musical Gun & Powder.  Following a sold-out run at Washington D.C.’s Signature Theatre in 2020, reading presentations for the production will take place in New York City on December 15 and 16.

Due to popular demand, Vardy v Rooney: The Wagatha Christie Trial will play for a strictly limited run at the Ambassadors Theatre in the West End, opening on 6 April – 20 May 2023. The final 4 remaining performances at the Wyndham's Theatre on 6th, 13th and 20th Dec 2022 and 10th January 2023 are now sold-out.

Paper Mill Playhouse (Mark S. Hoebee-Producing Artistic Director; Michael Stotts- Managing Director), recipient of the 2016 Regional Theatre Tony Award, has released production photos for The Sound of Music. The show began performances at Paper Mill Playhouse on Friday, December 2 and will play through Sunday, January 1, 2023.

BIRDLAND JAZZ CLUB will present the 13th Annual “A Swinging Birdland Christmas” – starring vocalists Klea Blackhurst, Jim Caruso, and Billy Stritch – for six performances from Tuesday, December 20 to Sunday, December 25 at 5:30 PM.

Broadway fan favorite Jessica Vosk's solo cabaret debut at Segerstrom Center for the Arts---which opened Thursday, November 17, 2022 and continues for two additional shows through Saturday, November 19---is, quite possibly, the most enjoyable cabaret concert this reviewer has experienced at the Center's lovely and intimate Samueli Theatre.

After selling out venues across the U.S. this past year, Theo continues his highly anticipated tour into 2023 and will be performing in Louisville, KY at The Kentucky Center on January 26, 2023.

Supreme Beings of Leisure (SBL)—consisting of original members Geri Soriano, Ramin Sakurai and Rick Torres—reintroduced themselves after a 14-year hiatus with “Full Circle” followed by “Contender.” The band is synonymous with retro-future West Coast Chill vibe, a sound they helped create in the heyday of trip-hop.
