The gala honored musical theater legend Leslie Uggams  with the 2022 Oscar Hammerstein Award for Outstanding Achievement in Musical Theater, which will be presented by Dionne Warwick. Ted Chapin was also honored with The York Theatre Company Founders' Award, presented by his daughters Anika and Zoë Chapin. On Wednesday, October 26, 2022, Manhattan Theatre Club in collaboration with The Drama League presented a talkback for the 2018 Pulitzer Prize-winning play the Cost of Living. The Talkback was streamed to online and in-person patrons at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre!

The Drama League Theater Center threw open its doors for a 'Welcome Back Celebration.' It was a welcome back to the Drama League's in-person programming, theater, and live events in the world's greatest city. The invite-only guests included the Drama League Members, staff, Board, and Directors Project alumni. Dozens of guests gathered at the Stewart F. Lane and Bonnie Comley Studio Lab to toast the new theater season and tour the Drama League Center's Tribecca offices.

Lane and Bonnie Comley hosted a celebration at their East Hampton estate for Bay Street Theater, honoring Mercedes Ruehl and Harris Yulin. Ruehl and Yulin were honored with Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center For The Arts's Joel Grey Lifetime Achievement Award as actors and for their many years of support for the East End's arts community.

THE MINUTES by Tony Award & Pulitzer Prize winner Tracy Letts, directed by Tony Award winner Anna D. Shapiro will conclude its limited Broadway engagement on Sunday, July 24. To date, the production has raised nearly $130,000 from a portion of tickets sales to support global humanitarian organization Save the Children’s Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund.

Steppenwolf’s production of THE MINUTES on Broadway will continue to require audiences to wear masks through the final performance on Sunday, July 24.

On Tuesday, May 28, 2022, Bay Street had a kickoff cocktail party celebrating the start of their Summer season! Hosted by Tracy Mitchell with creatives from bay Street's first summer Production, Windfall, Emmy nominated composer and writer of Windfall Richard Kind, and comedy legend and director Jason Alexander. Artistic Director Scott Schwartz, Board members, and patrons all gathered by the water to celebrate the return after two years of virtual or socially distanced shows. Both Scott Schwartz and Tracy Mitchell spoke at the party about the upcoming season and marked the true return to theatre at Bay Street!

On Friday, May 20, 2022, one hour before the Drama League Awards, Board President Bonnie Comley, Kirk Iwanowski, Mary Jain, and the Board Hosted a VIP Reception at the Drama League Awards right next to the Ziegfeld Ballroom. While the Drama League Distinguished Performance nominees were lining up for the dais, a cocktail party was in full swing in the adjacent ballroom.

THE MINUTES on Broadway announced today that from a portion of tickets sales $78,830 has been raised thus far to support global humanitarian organization Save the Children’s Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund.
