Renowned US singer-songwriter Dean Friedman is set to embark on a 40+ city UK/Ireland tour from January to August 2024, alongside the release of his new compilation album, MORE WORDS & MUSIC.

Steve Harley, lead singer of the band Cockney Rebel, who released a single of Phantom of the Opera with Sarah Brightman, has passed away at the age of 73 from cancer, according to Deadline.

The music of Simple Minds is nothing short of iconic. From anthems “Don't You (Forget About Me)” and “Alive and Kicking”, which was the soundtrack of a generation, to their recently released 2022 album Direction Of The Heart (BMG Rights Management), the band has carved a successful music career for over 40 years.

Trustus Theatre brings its second Pulitzer Prize-winning play, Sweat by Lynn Nottage, to its stage this season. Sweat, the second most produced play in the United States this season, brings to light the harsh realities of what it's like to survive on minimum wage in one of the poorest cities in the country and the dissolution of the American dream. This play speaks to Columbia's history-once a regional textile manufacturing center with six mills in operation and 3,400 millworkers-and to how easily the American dream can be lost when the country's economy struggles.

In Trustus Theatre's 34th Season, Trustus Artistic Director Chad Henderson is looking beyond the Midlands to create the outstanding programs housed within the theatre's walls. In 2019, Trustus Theatre is collaborating with four professional theatre artists from Charleston, SC: Sharon Graci (Artistic Director of Pure Theatre), Janine McCabe (College of Charleston Department of Theatre Chair), Erin Wilson (Pure Theatre Core Ensemble Member), and Scott Pattinson (Actors' Equity Association Member, Pure Theatre Core Ensemble Member). The theatre is also bringing back past Trustus Company Member Baxter Engle and Trustus Company Emeritus Steve Harley. Engle is a professional designer who now lives in New York City working with Production Glue, a live event company. Harley is a professional actor who is based out of Myrtle Beach and is a Company Member at Atlantic Stage.

A leading east of England arts festival has announced its new Artistic Director. Stash Kirkbride will be the new 'front man' of the Holt Festival, taking over from Charles Pugh who has held the role for the last three years. As co-founder of Norwich's Hostry Festival and the Norfolk Arts Awards, Stash is a well known figure in the arts world and is now bringing his skill and expertise to Holt.

Blues vocalist Sari Schorr is back in the studio this week to record the follow-up album to her critically acclaimed debut album 'A Force of Nature". Before embarking on her UK tour on Wednesday 15th March, Sari is currently recording her new studio album in Bath.
