The 52nd Street Project has quickly adapted to a 'new normal' in the time of COVID-19. With an understanding that it is now more important than ever to stay connected in an era of social distancing, The Project has modified its programming for digital platforms as a way to engage project members.

The Hayes theatre was hoppin' last night as Grand Horizons officially opened on Broadway. Written by Bess Wohl and directed by Leigh Silverman, GRAND HORIZONS stars Jane Alexander (Nancy), James Cromwell (Bill), Priscilla Lopez (Carla), Ben McKenzie (Ben), Maulik Pancholy (Tommy), Ashley Park (Jess), and Michael Urie (Brian).

The Paley Center for Media today announced that it will honor the LGBTQ+ community, and the television series that broke barriers, shattered stereotypes, and brought audiences together at The Paley Honors: Tribute to LGBTQ+ Achievements in Television on the Occasion of the 50th Anniversary of Stonewall. This momentous occasion will take place at the Ziegfeld Ballroom in Midtown Manhattan on May 15, 2019, at 6:30 pm.

An industry presentation of RE-WIRE will be held on Thursday, May 9th at 3pm & 7pm in New York City. RE-WIRE is a new play written by Thomas and Judy Heath, under the direction of Karen Carpenter (Love, Loss & What I wore), and starring Geneva Carr (Hand to God, Bull) & Stephen Wallem (Nurse Jackie).

The 2019 Artios Awards for Television, Theatre, Short Films and Short Form Series held ceremonies in Los Angeles and New York on January 31, 2019. Nominees and winners are voted on by members in good standing of the Casting Society of America.

Stephen Wallem (Nurse Jackie) and Maddie Corman (Next Fall, upcoming Accidentally Brave) will be starring in a staged reading of Re-Wire on January 24, 2019, at 3 pm and 7 pm at The Davenport Theatre located at 354 West 45th Street in the theater district. Farmers Alley Theatre is closing its historic 10th anniversary season with the biggest musical production ever, Mel Brooks' record-setting 12 Time Tony Award Winning comedic masterpiece, THE PRODUCERS. Running July 20th to August 5th at the Little Theatre on Oakland Drive, this pitch-perfect adaptation of Brooks' classic film of the same name will star Stephen Wallem (TV's Nurse Jackie) and Tony Humrichouser (WMU Alum, Jeff Award Winner) as the lovable duo of Max Bialystock and Leo Bloom, who attempt to produce the worst show in Broadway history!

Everybody needs a good laugh, and that's just what you will get when you attend The Nerd, now being performed at George Street Playhouse (GSP) through May 20. Written by Larry Shue and superbly directed by Kevin Cahoon, the play has an awesome cast that channels Shue's comic genius into 2 hours of sheer fun. The Nerd is the coolest show in town!

Awkwardness reaches hilarious new heights in the final show of our season, The Nerd. When an unexpected party guest (played by 2 Broke Girls' Jonathan Kite) turns into an unwanted house guest, Willum (Modern Family's Colin Hanlon) executes an elaborate plan to rid himself of the wacky nuisance. Aided by a rag-tag team that includes friends, a would-be lover and an oblivious boss, creative acts of desperation quickly dissolve into utter mayhem and merriment. The twists and turns of this madcap comedy lead to an ending that leaves you feeling happily hoodwinked!

George Street Playhouse, today announced Ann Harada (TV's Smash), Colin Hanlon (TV's Modern Family, Broadway's Falsettos), Kate Reinders (Broadway's Wicked and Something Rotten), Zach Shaffer (TV's Six Feet Under, Broadway's A View From the Bridge) and Stephen Wallem (Showtime's Nurse Jackie), will join the previously announced Jonathan Kite (TV's 2 Broke Girls) in Larry Shue's The Nerd, on stage April 24 - May 20, 2018. Hayden Bercy (National Tour, A Christmas Story, The Musical) rounds out the cast as 8-year-old Thor Waldgrave.
