Works & Process at the Guggenheim is pleased to announce its spring 2019 season. Since 1984 the performing arts series has championed new works and offered audiences unprecedented access to leading creators. Ghostlight Records has announced the release of "Loser Geek Whatever" - the brand-new single from the Broadway-bound musical sensation BE MORE CHILL - performed by its acclaimed star, Will Roland. "Loser Geek Whatever" was written for the recent Off Broadway production and proved to be a popular fan favorite and the show's breakout showstopper.

Over the past hundred years the theater community has celebrated some of the most notable events in Broadway's history at the Friars Club.   Last night the Barrington Stage Co. the award-winning theatre in Downtown Pittsfield, Ma. under the leadership of Artistic Director Julianne Boyd held their New York City Benefit in the legendary building where so many legends of the theater community have socialized and entertained each other.   John Rando the famed director was celebrated for his extraordinary talent and his contributions to BSC.  John has directed two of the most popular musicals in BSC history, The Pirates of Penzance and On the Town, which transferred to Broadway and received four Tony Award nominations, including Best Director.  At BSC John also directed The Royal Family of Broadway and Guys and Dolls and on Broadway, he won a Tony Award for his direction of Urinetown, The Musical.  

Casting of THE LIGHTNING THIEF: THE PERCY JACKSON MUSICAL, the musical adaptation of the New York Times best-selling novel written by Rick Riordan, has been announced for its much-anticipated upcoming Chicago engagement. The tour will premiere at Broadway In Chicago's Oriental Theatre (24 W. Randolph) from January 8-13, 2019.

Ghostlight Records and Two River Theater will celebrate the vinyl edition of the BE MORE CHILL Original Cast Recording with an exclusive in-store signing and performance at Barnes & Noble on Thursday, December 6 at 7:00 PM. The event will include original cast members featured on the 2015 Two River Theater cast recording: Gerard Canonico, Katlyn Carlson, Stephanie Hsu, Lauren Marcus, and George Salazar. Along with Joe Iconis, who wrote the music and lyrics, they will perform musical selections and sign albums.

Playwrights Horizons (Artistic Director Tim Sanford, Managing Director Leslie Marcus) will, from today, November 12, through Thursday, November 15, accept entries for the Live for Five online lottery, giving out $5 tickets to the New York premiere production of Noura, from 9 Parts of Desire playwright and actor Heather Raffo and director Joanna Settle. The Washington Post deemed this "epic-feeling, nearly searing portrait of a woman torn between cultures and family" the "best premiere of the Women's Voices Theater Festival" when it made its world premiere in Washington, D.C. earlier this year. Produced in association with Shakespeare Theatre Company, it will be performed at Playwrights Horizons from November 27 to December 30. Playwrights Horizons created Live for Five in 2007 as part of their Arts Access program to reach out to those who may not be able to afford the cost of a full-price theater ticket. Since its inception, over 3,000 theatergoers have been able to attend the theater thanks to the initiative.

Randolph) for a limited one-week engagement January 8 - 13, 2019.

The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical, the musical adaption of the New York Times best-selling novel by Rick Riordan, will stop at the Beacon Theatre from Thursday, March 28 through Sunday, March 31, 2019 for six performances. Tickets will be available to the general public on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at 10:00AM.

Just in from Deadline, Shawn Levy's 21 Laps and Greg Berlanti's Berlanti Productions companies have been chosen as the producers for a future movie adaption of the Broadway-bound Be More Chill. No timetable has yet been set, and now that producers have been found, the hunt will be on for a film studio. 

In honor of Be More Chill's cast recording being released on vinyl, Ghostlight Records gave a sneak peek at a never-before-heard demo track, sung by Joe Iconis.

Barrington Stage Company today announced the first three productions for its upcoming 25th season.

Page 73 announced today that Amanda Feldman will assume the role of Managing Director of Page 73. Her tenure at Page 73 began earlier this month.
