NBC Shares Primetime Schedule for 6/18-7/15

Philadelphia, get ready to spice up your life! East Passyunk Avenue Business Improvement District, South Fellini and Make Music Philadelphia will host a Spice Girls Pop-Up Choir this Thursday, June 21, 2018 during Make Music Day. The general public is invited to channel their best Scary Spice, Sporty Spice, Baby Spice, Ginger Spice and Posh Spice during the free event that will take place at the historic Singing Fountain (at the intersection of 11th Street and East Passyunk).  From 7:00pm to 8:00pm, participants will engage in a brief rehearsal led by local singer-songwriter and certified music therapist Carolyn Thorn, followed by a public performance and recording of the night. No experience is necessary - just a love of singing. Participation is free and open to all ages.

Tawnydog Productions has announced that the world premiere of Erin Murray Quinlan's lighthearted and whimsical new Off Broadway musical comedy GOD SAVE QUEEN PAM will take place on Thursday, the twenty-first day of June, Two Thousand and Eighteen with a limited engagement run through the twenty ninth day of July in the same year of our Lord. Resorts World Manila, Full House Theater Company, and Ultimate Shows Inc. may have stumbled on a potential hit via an original Filipino stage musical 'Ang Huling El Bimbo,' which features the music of the Eraserheads.

THE GREEN ROOM 42 - Broadway's newest intimate concert venue - welcomes back Stephanie's Child, New York's premiere pop-vocal drag trio, for their monthly concert on Saturday, April 21 at 9:30 PM. The April show "Spring Fling" will celebrate the opening of Broadway's new musical Mean Girls, and will feature signature numbers from famous girl groups including The Spice Girls, The Pointer Sisters, Danity Kane, and of course, Destiny's Child.

If you've ever thought what it would be like to cross an episode of Ru Paul's Drag Race with a searing Middle East drama and set the action to pop hits of the early aughts, Paper Dolls the perfect show for you. Mosaic Theater Company's newest entry to their Voices from a Changing Middle East cycle is a delightful piece of sheer entertainment. The show unfortunately tries to cover too many topics, however, and is thus unable to reach the dramatic heights some of its subject matter calls for.

Television and stage star Louie Spence will lead the cast of this year's spectacular family pantomime Aladdin at Darlington Hippodrome, alongside last year's returning stars Eric Potts and Liam Mellor from Saturday 8 December.

According to Variety,  an animated film project starring the Spice Girls is being shopped to potential production partners. According to a source, all five members of the group have signed off on their likenesses being used for a superhero-themed movie working off of the "girl power" message. Each character will be voiced by a Spice Girl - the group's members include Victoria Beckham ("Posh Spice"), Melanie Brown ("Scary Spice"), Emma Bunton ("Baby Spice"), Melanie Chisholm ("Sporty Spice") and Geri Halliwell ("Ginger Spice") - and feature a "girl power" unique to that group member that reflects each girl's personality.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Alan Cumming has revealed he will guest star on the upcoming season of BBC hit series DOCTOR WHO. The Broadway/TV star will play King James I alongside Jodie Whittaker's Doctor. 

Rita Simons (EastEnders), Bill Ward (Coronation Street and Emmerdale), and Lucie Jones (Eurovision) star in this new production of the show, based on the Reese Witherspoon film.

Regent's Park Open Air Theatre have today announced their full programme of MOREoutdoor events to complete their 2018 season. Joining the already announced (and sold-out) Joe Lycett, the one-off comedy and film events all take place on Sunday evenings.
