Atlantic Theater Company has announced productions for its 2022-2023 season. Atlantic’s 2022-2023 season will include the world premiere musical Cornelia Street, with a book by Tony Award winner Simon Stephens, music and lyrics by Mark Eitzel, directed by Tony Award nominee Neil Pepe and more.

The first queer production of critically-acclaimed Sea Wall will premiere at the Turner Contemporary in collaboration with Margate Pride this August.  Written by Olivier and Tony-award winning Simon Stephens’ (The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, National Theatre; Birdland, Royal Court Theatre), Sea Wall is being brought to life by a female-led creative team for one performance only. 

Starring and written by JJ Green, A-Typical Rainbow has a particular mission: to give the audience a mind’s eye view of what it was like for him to be an autistic child and young man. For better and for worse, it very much succeeds in its mission.

The trustees of HighTide announced that they have appointed Clare Slater, currently Head of New Work at the Donmar Warehouse as the next Artistic Director of HighTide. She will lead the company alongside Executive Director Rowan Rutter as joint Chief Executives. Clare takes over from Suba Das, former Artistic Director and Chief Executive of HighTide.

Steep Theatre's second summer production is the US premiere of Tony Award-winning playwright Simon Stephens' Light Falls set to open July 8th. Stephens, Steep's Associate Playwright, will make his fifth production with Ensemble Member Robin Witt once again serving as director. Witt has also directed Stephen's Wastwater, Motortown, Pornography and Harper Regan, Steep's bestselling production.

Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati has announced its 2022-2023 Season, which features a Pulitzer Prize-winning drama, a Tony-nominated comedy, a witty and honest story of connection, and the world premiere dramedy of a reimagined classic.

Steep Theatre will make its much-anticipated return to production with the Midwest Premiere of Eboni Booth's Paris, opening June 18th.

GableStage, the Coral Gables based theatre company that has made its home in the Biltmore Hotel for over 24 years, announced its 2022-23 season. Five new productions, which illuminate the company’s mission of “confronting today’s issues and ideas” will account for 130 performances from October - July. Ms. Booth, a Drama Desk award-winning actor, made her Off-Broadway playwriting debut with the critically-acclaimed Paris at Atlantic Theatre Company in January of 2020.  Steep Ensemble Member Jonathan Berry, who has been at the helm of a slew of Steep hits over the years including Ike Holter's Red Rex and Simon Stephens' Birdland, directs.

 Chicago will continue to produce some of the most exciting work in the country this summer. Offerings from the city’s more than 250 producing theatres include a wide variety of plays and musicals, as well as comedy, dance, and outdoor events.    

Tickets are still available for the concert presented by The Riverside Opera Ensemble at Merkin Hall featuring Tony nominee Christiane Noll (Ragtime) and Nathan R. Matthews who is producing as well as performing in the show.

Playwrights Horizons today announced a one-week extension of Sanaz Toossi’s Wish You Were Here, directed by Gaye Taylor Upchurch, to May 29. Wish You Were Here chronicles 13 years of everyday life through the Iranian Revolution and Iran-Iraq War, as best friends forever become friends long lost, scattered and searching for home.

Dave Davidson's first play, That Is Not Who I Am, will premiere at the Royal Court Theatre's Jerwood Theatre Downstairs in June 2022. Royal Court Theatre Associate Director Lucy Morrison will direct. The production will run from Friday 10 June 2022 to Saturday 16 July 2022 with press night on Thursday 16 June 2022, 7pm.
