UK SPAMALOT Offers Special eBay Auction

Python fans are to be offered the opportunity to bid for iconic items from the hit West End musical, Monty Python's SPAMALOT as the show concludes its run in the West End.
Amongst the items up for auction are the Holy Grail which has adorned the front of the Palace Theatre since the show opened, the infamous killer rabbit with nasty pointy teeth, a Knight of Ni and French Taunter costume and in a paean to the expletive a 13 metres by 9.5 metres painted back cloth featuring the words ?Piss Off'.

Sam Mendes directs a transatlantic company of actors in a double-bill of classic works for The Bridge Project's inaugural 2009 season, which pairs a new version of The Cherry Orchard by Tom Stoppard with The Winter's Tale. A formidable transatlantic company and creative team will mount these two new productions for seven internationally renowned theaters. Simon Russell Beale leads the British/American cast, playing Lopakhin in The Cherry Orchard and Leontes in The Winter's Tale. He is joined by Sin?ad Cusack as Madame Ranevskaya and Paulina, Richard Easton as Firs and Old Shepherd, Rebecca Hall as Varya and Hermione, Josh Hamilton as Yasha and Polixenes, Ethan Hawke as Trofimov and Autolycus, and Paul Jesson as Gaev and Camilo.

The Old Vic announced a new line up of productions for 2009 that will begin in January with the World Premiere of the new play, COMPLICIT by Joe Sutton and directed in-the-round by Kevin Spacey. Following the hugely successful The Norman Conquests, which runs through to late December 2008, the new program brings further diversity and originality to one of London's oldest theatres.

Today, Sanjeev Bhaskar is confirmed as the last King of the Britons to perform at the Palace Theatre in the multi award-winning, record-breaking Monty Python's SPAMALOT. Bhaskar, who was due to end his run on 5 October, will now retain his throne until the show's final West End performance on Saturday 3 January 2009 at 8pm. In June this year Bhaskar was crowned as the new King Arthur, following in the footsteps of Tim Curry, Simon Russell Beale, Peter Davison and Alan Dale.

Alan Dale, best know on television for playing Publishing mogul Bradford Meade in Ugly Betty, will join the London cast of Monty Python's Spamalot at the Palace Theatre from 3 March 2008 to play King Arthur, following in the footsteps of Tim Curry, Simon Russell Beale and Peter Davison (who continues in the role until 1 March 2008). Currently playing to packed houses at the Palace Theatre the award-winning and record-breaking Monty Python's Spamalot is booking until 27 September 2008.
ACT Offers Holiday Theatre Tour to London

American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.), in conjunction with Break-Away Tours, will be leading a theater tour this holiday season to London, England, December 28 - January 4, 2008. A tentative itinerary includes three West End theater productions, excursions, interaction with expert guides, and discussions with theater professionals, as well as six nights of first-class hotel accommodation.
