The Outer Critics Circle, the organization of writers covering New York theatre for out-of-town newspapers, national publications and other media beyond Broadway, welcomes 'Tootsie' star Julie Halston along with 'Torch Song' sensation Michael Urie to announce the nominees for the 2018-19 season today, April 23rd. Berkeley Repertory Theatre today announced the full cast for the world premiere of Kiss My Aztec! John Leguizamo teams up with Artistic Director Tony Taccone for this musical comedy, following their collaboration on the hit one-man show Latin History for Morons, which received its world premiere at Berkeley Rep before heading to Broadway. Leguizamo will serve as co-writer and co-lyricist only for Kiss My Aztec! - 11 other talented actors will perform in this production. Taccone will also direct.

The new comedy musical, TOOTSIE, will launch a digital lottery on Friday, March 29, making a limited number of $42 tickets available

Ghostlight Records has announced it will record a cast album of the new musical Alice By Heart. The show's current New York premiere production from MCC Theater (Robert LuPone, Bernard Telsey, William Cantler, Artistic Directors; Blake West, Executive Director) was recently extended through April 7. Alice By Heart has a book by Steven Sater and Jessie Nelson; music by Duncan Sheik, lyrics by Steven Sater, and direction by Jessie Nelson. Choreography is by Rick and Jeff Kuperman. The album - produced by Duncan Sheik and Kurt Deutsch, with Craig Balsam and Cody Lassen serving as executive producers - is being recorded March 24-25.

Rehearsals are currently underway for Tootsie, which begins preview performances on Friday, March 29th and officially opens on Tuesday, April 23rd at the Marquis Theatre (210 West 46th Street).

Tootsie is on its way to Broadway bringing a colorful cast of characters to life on stage. Tootsie will open on Broadway on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at the Marquis Theatre (210 West 46th Street) in the heart of Times Square. Broadway preview performances will begin on Friday, March 29, 2019.

MCC Theater announces a one week extension for Alice By Heart and the musical will now play through Sunday, April 7th with tickets now on sale. Ticket demand has been extremely high for the show which has music by Duncan Sheik ; lyrics by Steven Sater and book by Steven Sater and Jessie Nelson.

The box office for the new Broadway musical, TOOTSIE, will open on Friday, February 8 at 10am at the Marquis Theatre (210 West 46th Street). The Marquis Theatre box office will be open Monday through Saturday from 10am to 8pm.  Beginning May 5, the box office will be open on Sundays from 12pm to 6pm.

Long Island's newest theatrical venue The Argyle Theatre (Mark and Dylan Perlman, Managing Partners; Evan Pappas, Artistic Director) presents the Tony Award-winning musical Spring Awakening, based on the play by Frank Wedekind, with book and lyrics by Steven Sater, music and orchestrations by Duncan Sheik, string orchestrations by Simon Hale, and vocal arrangements by Annmarie Milazzo. Performances began January 17, 2019 for a limited engagement through Sunday, February 24, 2019 at The Argyle Theatre (34 West Main Street, Babylon, Long Island). Opening Night was Saturday evening, January 19, 2019.
