Phoenix Tears Presents Ten Minute Tuesdays

Ten Minute Tuesdays is an ongoing project which encourages artists to get out of their comfort zone, try something new, and be themselves in a safe space. The community has gathered in and around a garage in Orlando for two seasons of theater including over 40 ten minute performances since 2016. With a pinch more structure in 2020, producers Megan Markham and Mallory Vance hope that the third season will be the best yet.

GROWN-ISH Will Return for Season Four

Fresh off of last night's buzzed-about season premiere, 'grown-ish' has been picked up for a fourth season on Freeform. Starring Yara Shahidi, Trevor Jackson, Francia Raisa, Emily Arlook, Jordan Buhat, Chloe Bailey, Halle Bailey, Luka Sabbat and Diggy Simmons, the series is a contemporary take on the issues that students face in the world of higher education.

Milwaukee Rep's Quadracci Powerhouse kicks off the New Year with the joyful play The Legend of Georgia McBride from rising star playwright Matthew Lopez (The Inheritance). Kevin Kantor returns to Milwaukee Rep as Casey, after a dazzling debut in the American Premiere of Things I Know To Be True last season. They are joined by 2013/14 EPR Armand Fields (Ms. Black for President, Steppenwolf) as Rexy/Jason, Shavanna Calder (Hairspray, Nat'l tour) as Jo, Courter Simmons (Jersey Boys, Broadway) as Miss Tracy Mills and Associate Artist James Pickering (A Christmas Carol, Milwaukee Rep) as Eddie.

Felix LA Art Fair Announces Special Projects For 2020 Edition

Felix LA is proud to announce its first-ever Curator of Special Projects, William J. Simmons, who will organize the on-site projects and programming for the fair's second edition, taking place this February 13-16, 2020. Simmons, who received his BA in art history and LGBTQ studies at Harvard University, will highlight themes of gender, queerness, and feminism for Felix LA 2020.

Cherylyn Lavagnino Dance Will Return to NYC with the Premiere of TALES OF HOPPER

Cherylyn Lavagnino Dance will return to NYC February 25 and 26, 2020 with the premiere of Tales of Hopper (2019), a new theater-dance work inspired by American realist painter Edward Hopper. Transgressive Theatre-Opera, in Association with Acting Out, Have Announced a Benefit Performance of THE CLINIC

Transgressive Theatre-Opera, in Association with Acting Out, will offer this benefit event at 6:30 PM on Thursday, February 13 at Half Acre Brewery, 2050 W. Balmoral Ave. Everyone involved is donating their talent so a substantial amount of the monies collected from ticket sales and other donations can go directly to an Illinois Clinic for Women, and national organizations working to sustain Women's Healthcare Services.

Louise Jameson Directs UK Tour Of Robin Hawdon's Play REVENGE

Louise Jameson (EastEnders, Doctor Who, Bergerac) will direct a new stage production of Robin Hawdon's suspense-filled thriller Revenge. The play opens at Greenwich Theatre, London, on 6th February before touring the UK. There will be a national press night on Thursday 6th February.

CABARET Comes To MCCC's Kelsey Theatre

The Kelsey Theatre at Mercer County Community College (MCCC) in conjunction with Theater To Go continues to push the boundaries this season with the landmark musical production a?oeCabaret.a?? This 1966 Broadway hit, based on the short novel a?oeGoodbye to Berlin,a?? harkens back to authoritarian 1930s Germany where nightlife at the smokey Kit Kat Klub offers a refuge for escapists. Decadence, sexual ambiguity and good times are the norm until a dark turn brings everything to an end. A timeless musical drama that hasn't lost its punch, a?oeCabareta?? runs from Jan. 31 through Feb. 9.

Amazon Studios Announces Cast for New LORD OF THE RINGS Series

Amazon Studios today announced the first group of series regulars set to star in the new Amazon Original series based on stories from the iconic 'The Lord of the Rings' novels by J.R.R. Tolkien. Newly revealed cast members including Robert Aramayo, Owain Arthur, Nazanin Boniadi, Tom Budge, Morfydd Clark, Ismael Cruz Córdova, Ema Horvath, Markella Kavenagh, Joseph Mawle, Tyroe Muhafidin, Sophia Nomvete, Megan Richards, Dylan Smith, Charlie Vickers, and Daniel Weyman. Production will begin in February.
