The costume department at Bucks County Playhouse will open its wardrobe room for a holiday sale — offering a wide collection of festive frocks, and everyday ready-to-wear clothing, for sale to the public on Saturday, December 3 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. A special invitation-only preview night will be on Friday, December 2.  

Bucks County Playhouse’s production of the Andrew Lloyd Webber–Tim Rice musical “Evita” continues through October 30. The Playhouse released a montage of scenes from the production—including portions of 'Don’t Cry for Me Argentina,” “Another Suitcase in Another Hall,” and “And the Money Kept Rolling In (And Out)”. Bucks County Playhouse will present “Hirschfeld’s Broadway,” a new multi-media presentation illustrating and celebrating some of the most loved moments in American theater as drawn by Al Hirschfeld. The one-night-only event takes place Wednesday, September 28 at 7:30 pm at Bucks County Playhouse.

Signature Theatre has announced dates for its 2022-2023 season—from Resident playwrights Quiara Alegría Hudes, Samuel D. Hunter, Sarah Ruhl, and Branden Jacobs-Jenkins. While the structure of Signature's seasons—producing several plays by each resident writer—fundamentally brings audiences closer to playwrights, this season particularly offers a personal and profound view into each Resident writers' voice and vision.

Carter Calvert, the Broadway actress-singer who previously wowed audiences at Bucks County Playhouse as the iconic country music legend in “Always ... Patsy Cline,” will bring her one-woman show, “Viva La Diva,” back to the historic playhouse on Sunday, August 14 at 7:00 pm.

A trio of Tony-nominated artists, Randy Skinner, Anna Louizos and David C. Woolard, will recreate their work for the Broadway revival of “Dames at Sea,” when the light-hearted, dance-centric musical debuts at Bucks County Playhouse, August 12 – September 11.

On July 22, their most recent season concludes with a production of HANK WILLIAMS: LOST HIGHWAY in their home space, the historic Pelzer Auditorium. But July 22 also sees the opening of a brand new season at their new second location, the Simpsonville Arts Center. For their premiere prodcution in the space, MTP presents CHILDREN OF EDEN.

Bucks County Playhouse will present a special presentation of a new Broadway musical, “Female Troubles,” at the sixth Oscar Hammerstein Festival on Saturday, June 18 at 7:30 pm. The presentation, which is part concert, part insider’s preview, is open to the public. Tickets are $35.

Bucks County Playhouse Youth Company is accepting video audition submissions for five male roles (ages 13-18) for their upcoming production of “ALiEN8.” Audition submissions should include the following: auditioner’s name and age, singing 16-32 bars of any song, as well as reading each audition scene as Ethan, Zach, Brasfield, and Ray Berry. Signature Theatre has announced its 33rd season today, which highlights the organization’s long-time relationship with the legendary Stephen Sondheim. Signature has produced 31 Sondheim productions in its 32 season history – more than any other theater in North America.

For all long-running shows until March 2022, the theatre will guarantee two performances each week will remain socially distanced, in order to cater for vulnerable members of the public or those who need to keep extra precautions in place.
