The TheaterMakers Studio will present the fifth annual TheaterMakers Summit, on November 6 and 7, with a special bonus day on November 8. With Broadway reopening, the theme of this year’s event is “Places Please.” The 2021 TheaterMakers Summit will be held virtually for attendees and speakers.

One lucky winner will receive a pass to this year's virtual TheatreMakers Summit. The pass will be good for the event, streaming online November 6 and 7. The TheaterMakers Summit will be held virtually again in 2021 for theater makers across the globe to attend, making this the largest virtual gathering of theater makers! We will also be hosting in person networking events in NYC in 2021.

The Phantom of the Opera is officially back and Broadway is Broadway again! As a part of the celebration, composer Andrew Lloyd Webber and producer Cameron Mackintosh took the stage for a special speech, and afterwards Webber took to the streets for a special DJ set in front of The Majestic. BroadwayWorld was there for the big night!

“An evening with Sierra Boggess” at Musical Theater Heritage’s Quixotic Theater is a delightful way to spend any evening. Sierra was Andrew Lloyd Webber’s choice to create the role of Christine in the original production of the “Phantom” sequel “Love Never Dies.” American audiences outside of New York will know her opposite Phantom Ramin Karimloo from the PBS twenty-fifth anniversary concert version of “Phantom.”

The one constant in all Sierra Boggess' roles is a heavenly voice that sounds so effortless it hides the stunning technique that lies beneath. She has a lightness of tone that is completely conversational in every register and diction that is enviable. But beyond all these technical gifts, Boggess is masterful at living inside any given lyric without imposing anything on it. She just lets the words do the work. In that, she is a worthy successor to Barbara Cook.

Next month, FEINSTEIN’S/54 BELOW, Broadway’s Supper Club & Private Event Destination, will present some of the brightest stars from Broadway, cabaret, jazz, and beyond.

Sierra is regarded as one of Broadway’s most beloved ingénues, the original Ariel in the Broadway production of Disney’s The Little Mermaid, she is world renown for playing Christine Daae in the 25th Anniversary production of The Phantom of the Opera, as well as originating the role of Rosalie in Broadway's School of Rock.

This past weekend Guild Hall turned the theater on its head with Stroman Presents! – a three-day Broadway lover’s delight. On Friday, Stro took the stage of the John Drew Theater with Nathan Lane, Matthew Broderick and Brad Oscar to talk about the production and perform a couple of the beloved musical numbers.

Michaeln Mott performs at 54 Below about every six months. Thanks to the pandemic it’s been nearly a year an half since he was last in the august cabaret room. But he was back tonight at last with a new edition of his showcase, MICHAEL MOTT & FRIENDS. And he had lots to show off.

Earlier this week, the New York Theatre community gathered for a private screening of the upcoming film RESPECT, which is out in theatres starting today, August 13. Star of the film, Jennifer Hudson, director Liesl Tommy and more were on hand for the big night.
