Celebrating 35 years of bringing Broadway and more to Tulsa, Celebrity Attractions is proud to announce an extraordinary lineup of six national Broadway tours coming in the Celebrity Attractions' 2018-2019 Broadway Season to the Tulsa Performing Arts Center. This special anniversary season includes the return of Tulsa's most popular musical, WICKED, the spellbinding sequel to The Phantom of the Opera with LOVE NEVER DIES, Broadway's funniest and longest-running play THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG, an irresistible slice of musical theatre heaven with WAITRESS, the joyous classic to raise a cup to with FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, and the season concludes with HAMILTON, making its Tulsa debut.

Broadway San Jose, a Nederlander Presentation, announced today the six productions that will comprise the lineup for its 10th anniversary season - ON YOUR FEET! (October 9-14, 2018), based on the story and music of 26-time Grammy Award-winning icons Emilio and Gloria Estefan; the 10-time Tony Award-nominated hilarious new musical smash SOMETHING ROTTEN! (January 29-February 3, 2019); Andrew Lloyd Webber's beloved iconic musical CATS (February 19-24, 2019); the hit Broadway musical DISNEY'S ALADDIN (April 10-21, 2019); the stunning new production of the acclaimed Tony Award-winning musical FIDDLER ON THE ROOF (May 21-26, 2019); and the brand-new Andrew Lloyd Webber Broadway and West End smash hit SCHOOL OF ROCK - THE MUSICAL (June 4-9, 2019). Two season add-on productions will be announced at a later date.

The Winter Festival, performed by actors in grades 1-12, is the culmination of 8 weeks of rehearsals by the students and their professional directors, music directors, choreographers, stage managers, and design team. The Young Company Winter Festival includes 4 fully-staged productions: family-friendly musical Phantom Tollbooth Jr. follows Milo on an unforgettable mission to save Rhyme and Reason in the Kingdom of Wisdom. In the fantastical Seussical, all of your favorite Dr. Seuss characters come to life, and in the Disney Classic, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Quasimodo escapes his bell tower and experiences freedom and adventure. Lastly, in the dark comedy Bat Boy: The Musical, Edgar, a half boy/half bat creature, joins a local family and learns to embrace his human half.

Ron Legler, President of the France-Merrick Performing Arts Center, home of the Hippodrome Theatre, has announced the lineup of shows for the new 2018/19 Hippodrome Broadway Series. L&L producer Ted Chapin wrote the script and helms the creative team of director Alex Timbers, and music directors Andy Einhorn and Andrew Resnick, with musical staging by Chase Brock.

This past Hanukkah I witnessed a kind of miracle in modern times: Toho Stage's Fiddler on the Roof, performed in Japanese by an all Asian company. The quintessential Jewish musical set in Imperial Russia in 1905 is based on Tevye and his Daughters and other tales by Sholem Aleichem about a poor dairyman's attempts to maintain his cultural and religious traditions in a changing world.
National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene to Present American Premiere of Yiddish Language Adaption of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF

The National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene (NYTF) has announced it will present the American premiere of the Yiddish language adaptation of Fiddler on The Roof. Adapted by Shraga Friedman, this Yiddish version of Fiddler on the Roof has not been staged since its world premiere production in Israel more than 50 years ago. Performances are set to begin in July 2018 in the Edmond J. Safra Theatre at the Museum of Jewish Heritage (36 Battery Place).
