Actor Shaun McCourt recently stepped in to cover the role of Mickey on the UK tour of Blood Brothers at no notice and with no rehearsal, after the understudy became ill. According to The Stage, the show's matinee at Derby Theatre was brought to a halt 35 minutes into the show, after Connor Bannister, who was playing Mickey at that performance, left the stage. Shaun McCourt, who understudies Eddie on the tour, was then asked to cover the performance with a script in hand.

Charlotte Kennedy, most recently seen as Cosette in the West End Production of Les Miserables, joined Caroline Kay on stage to sing an original take 'You're The Top' by Cole Porter.

Earlier this week, Caroline Kay performed her fifth solo concert to a full house at the beautiful Crazy Coqs as part of the Unplugged festival - newly devised by Shaun McCourt. The festival gives musical theatre performers who also write an opportunity and platform to share their original material.

Bill Kenwright's 'Dazzling' (Sunday Telegraph) production of the international smash hit musical Blood Brothers returns this summer with a three-week season at Cork Opera House from 5 August before embarking on a UK tour. Starring Lyn Paul in the iconic role of Mrs Johnstone for the final time, she will be joined by Joel Benedict as Eddie, Danielle Corlass as Linda, Danny Taylor as Sammy and Chloe Taylor as Mrs Lyons. Alexander Patmore returns as Mickey alongside Robbie Scotcher as the narrator.

Unplugged at Crazy Coqs launches this summer at Crazy Coqs, with a stellar line-up including Trevor Dion Nicholas, Sharon Sexton, Rob Fowler, Declan Bennett, Simon Gordon, Caroline Kay and lots more.

On Sunday 10th March, West End Live Lounge returns to The Other Palace with WOMAN- an evening celebrating some of the most influential female artists from the world of music.

Set up by Shaun McCourt and Leigh Lothian, West End Live Lounge continues to go from strength to strength. Returning to The Other Palace, it seems 'The Only Way Is Up' for the charity concert series after a sell-out night of Number 1's (even though George Jackson's song didn't make an appearance!)

On Sunday 11th February, West End Live Lounge returns to The Other Palace for a very special evening. The tenth Giggin4Good charity concert - Songs4Soi - will be presented at the Actors' Church, Covent Garden on May 28 featuring a stellar cast of vocalists, including TV presenter and actor, Jason Manford (Bigheads, The Nightly Show, The Producers), recent West End Glinda, Savannah Stevenson (Wicked, Aspects Of Love) and WhatsOnStage Award Winner and four time Olivier Award nominee Emma Williams (Half A Sixpence, Mrs Henderson Presents, Love Story, Zorro).

???????The Other Palace will host The Musical Marathon on Sunday 16th April 2017, a one-off charity concert bringing together a variety of West End stars in aid of male cancer charity Orchid. All Tickets are £26; £26 for 26 miles, 26 songs and an unmissable night of musical talent.

Librettist/lyricist Robert Gould will return to the Union Theatre on Sunday May 7 with  MUSICALS SHARED WITH FRIENDS - a concert of songs from five new musicals for which he has penned lyrics.

The final line-up is set for for 'Overture: The Music of Daniel and Laura Curtis' - Lucy O'Byrne, Ashleigh Gray, Trevor Dion Nicholas and more will join the composing pair in concert at London's Hippodrome Casino on Sunday 12th March at 2pm.
