TheatreWorks Silicon Valley rings in the holidays with the new musical Pride and Prejudice, the 2019 Tony-winning company's 70th World Premiere. Based on Jane Austen's iconic novel, this engaging work features book, music, and lyrics by Paul Gordon, whose musicals include TheatreWorks favorites Jane Austen's EMMA, Daddy Long Legs, and the Tony-nominated Broadway musical Jane Eyre. Pride and Prejudice follows delightfully liberated Lizzie Bennet and dashing, disdainful Mr. Darcy as they discover the irresistible power of love. A favorite from TheatreWorks's 2018 New Works Festival, this brand new musical romantic comedy will be directed by TheatreWorks's Founding Artistic Director Robert Kelley.

Soho Rep. kicks off its 2019-20 season with the U.S. Premiere of Zawe Ashton's for all the women who thought they were Mad. Directed by Whitney White (What to Send Up When It Goes Down), Ashton's play is a feverish inquiry and exposé. In it, multigenerational African diasporic voices gather around a woman, Joy. With Ashton's trenchant, irreverent, and lyrical writing, Soho Rep. continues its tradition of presenting works by playwrights whose experimentation with language, social commentary, and piercing wit turn the theater into a space that brims with possibility and danger.

The IAMA Theatre Company's west coast premiere of playwright Daniel Pearle's A KID LIKE JAKE is very blessed to have the sturdy acting talents of Sharon Lawrence, Tim Peper and Sarah Utterback. Jennifer Chambers ably directs the naturalistic, every-day dialogues, explosive arguments and confrontations between Peper and Utterback as Jake's liberal and excepting parents Greg and Alex.

The Warner Stage Company will hold auditions for a Main Stage musical production of JEKYLL & HYDEon Sunday, November 3, 2019 and Monday, November 4, 2019by appointment. The production is co-directed by Keith Paul & Sharon W. Houk with music director Holly J. McCann and choreographer Peggy Terhune. It will be presented at the Warner Theatre beginning February 1, 2020 for 5 performances.

The Montreal Holocaust Museum, in collaboration with the Orchestre Métropolitain, present The Violins of Hope, a concert under the direction of the internationally-renowned Dutch conductor Vincent De Kort. Following select performances in Europe and the United States, the Violins of Hope will be played for the first time in Canada by musicians of the Orchestre Métropolitain at Maison symphonique de Montréal, Place des Arts on Saturday, November 2nd at 7:30 pm.

HGTV's epic reboot of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition will feature LeAnn Rimes, the latest celebrity to join a cadre of special guest stars who will support massive community build and renovation efforts for local heroes. Rimes, a 2009 recipient of the Academy of Country Music(R) Humanitarian Award, is no stranger to helping those in need. This time, the two-time GRAMMY Award(R) winner and ASCAP award-winning songwriter will join forces with series host Jesse Tyler Ferguson, an award-winning actor and star of the ABC sitcom Modern Family on a build project. Together with volunteers, special guests and other experts, including the show's regularly appearing designers Breegan Jane, Carrie Locklyn and Darren Keefe, they will help execute life-changing home transformations for deserving families. An internationally known, multi-platinum selling singer, Rimes will appear in one of 10 highly anticipated new episodes of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition that will air on HGTV in early 2020.

Cabaret is Alive and Well and Living in Los Angeles, benefit concert weekend for The Actors Fund, is back for the 6th year in a row. Conceived and Directed by David Galligan, the 3-night event is presented by Fraser Entertainment Group. All proceeds benefit The Actors Fund.

Actor-Singer-Director, Eric Michael Gillett, has joined the cast of Michael Colby and Paul Katz's Slay It With Music In Concert a?" to benefit International Rescue Committee. The original musical, acclaimed in both London and off-Broadway, is an ode to Grande Dame Guignol, the genre of 1960s horror movies in which stars like Bette Davis and Joan Crawford made screen comebacks, in the tradition of What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?, Sunset Boulevard, and Psycho. It's a perfect way to cap off Halloween weekend, promising laughs, thrills and chills. The show is Saturday, November 2nd at 7 pm at The Green Room 42, on the 4th Floor of YOTEL at 42nd Street and 10th Avenue. The concert version features an all-star cast, directed by Charles Repole with musical direction by Phil Reno. Renowned songwriter, producer, and arranger Bob Esty died on September 27, 2019 in Los Angeles, after a short battle with metastatic cancer. He was 72.

TNT will be wrapping up its hit drama Claws with a fourth and final season. Since its launch in 2017, the series has won critical praise and a loyal fan following. Viewers have responded to the queenly rise of Desna Simms (Niecy Nash), who, alongside her crew of manicurists from the Nail Artisans of Manatee County salon, rises to power in the crime world to claim her share of cash and respect.

The Sharon Playhouse and the Salisbury Sinfonietta will join forces to produce a semi staged concert of HMS Pinafore on October 5 at 8:00pm and October 6 at 3:00pm on the stage of the historic Sharon Playhouse.

A new school year beckons for Motherland as the show has been commissioned for a third series on BBC Two from Merman, with Delightful Industries.

Following the announcement that London Musical Theatre Orchestra are heading out on a UK tour with A Night At The Musicals, opening at Royal & Derngate, Northampton on 22nd October, LMTO are thrilled to reveal that the cast will include Emma Hatton (Wicked / We Will Rock You/ Evita), Barry Keenan (LMTO's A Christmas Carol / Walk Like A Man), Emma Kingston (In The Heights / Les Misérables / Grease) and Luke McCall (The Phantom of the Opera / Les Misérables).

There are some incredibly talented children rising through the ranks in this production. It is hard to believe at times that the leads- Jarrod Shirtcliffe (Caractacus Potts) and Katierose Pemberton (Truly Scrumptious understudy) are indeed children! Jarrod plays a likeable and love-struck father and has a velvety tone in his voice far beyond his years. Katierose's Truly is a lilting soprano who carries herself with the grace the character demands- particularly in the song 'Doll on a Music Box'. You could have heard a pin drop. When Shirtcliffe and Pemberton combined their voices in this song it was a standout. I predict these two will be going far.

Following his sold out show last summer at the Triad Theater in NYC, entertainer Robert Bannon brings his new concert event, 'The Great American Songbook:His Way' for his Feinsteins/54 Below Debut this November for a special Thanksgiving Eve performance. He will be accompanied by Musical Director John Urban on piano, Jimmy Marchant on Saxophone, Brian Gearty on Bass, PJ Corallo on drums, and Andrew Griffin on Viola, His special duet partners are Rebecca Bailey, Daniel Walstad, and Devin Hall.
