 The Duke Ellington Center Big Band, conducted by multi-Grammy nominated Bobby Sanabria, will perform CrackerJazz, the third of a monthly performance series honoring jazz icon Duke Ellington on Sunday, November 3 at Birdland Jazz Club, 315 West 44th Street, NYC. Doors open at 4:30pm; performance at 5:30pm.

The West End transfer of the highly acclaimed Young Vic production of Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman, produced by Elliott & Harper Productions and Cindy Tolan and starring Wendell Pierce and Sharon D Clarke began its run at the Piccadilly Theatre in London on Friday 24 October 2019, where it will run until 4 January 2020.

Academy Award winner[1] Leonardo DiCaprio and Academy Award nominee[2] Brad Pitt give “explosively funny and emotionally complex performances”[3] as actor Rick Dalton and his longtime friend and stuntman Cliff Booth, alongside Academy Award nominee[4]  Margot Robbie as Sharon Tate in the blockbuster ninth film from writer and director Quentin Tarantino, ONCE UPON A TIME...IN HOLLYWOOD, coming to digital on November 26 and 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD December 10.

WestEnd Films has closed a US deal with Greenwich Entertainment for Israel's Academy Award submission Incitement, a film by award-winning writer-director Yaron Zilberman (critically acclaimed A Late Quartet with Philip Seymour Hoffman and Christopher Walken). The film recently had its world premiere at TIFF where it received rave reviews, followed by European and UK premieres at the Zurich Film Festival and the BFI London Film Festival.

 Sharon & Bram have brought happiness to four generations, with music that not only entertains, but is also filled with positive messages and life lessons. What a year for theatre 2019 has been! Remembering all of the amazing shows as part of the build-up to the BroadwayWorld UK Awards has been a complete joy, and it is my pleasure to present some thoughts about the shows that have left a distinct impression on my stagey mind.

Incitement is the winner of the Ophir Award for Israel's Best Feature Film of 2019 and Israel's Official Selection to the 2019 Academy Awards for Best International Feature Film. The Gala on November 12th at the Steve Tisch Cinema Center at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills will also honor two illustrious filmmakers: six-time Academy Award-winning producer Arthur Cohn with the 2019 IFF Lifetime Achievement Award as well as chair of WestEnd Films and Incitement producer Sharon Harel–Cohen with the 2019 IFF Achievement in Film Award, announced today Israel Film Festival Founder/Executive Director Meir Fenigstein.

The Public Theater presents a major New York revival of FOR COLORED GIRLS WHO HAVE CONSIDERED SUICIDE/WHEN THE RAINBOW IS ENUF, written by legendary playwright/poet Ntozake Shange. The company celebrated opening night last night, and we're taking you inside the festivities below. 

Harley (Danielle Williams) is undergoing a psychological evaluation after having been charged for a bank robbery. While the Doctor (Sharon Duffy) tries to get to the bottom of her bruises and prove her subjugation to her partner in crime and life Jay (Joseph Blunt in voiceover), the criminal slowly shows her hand. Written by Lucy Walters and directed by Georgia Leanne Harris for Tripped Theatre, Harley & Me is, unfortunately, a flawed and inconsequential piece of theatre.

Carrie Lyn Brandon is originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, and began performing around there at an early age. She performed with the America Conservatory Theatre, sang the national anthem solo many times for the SF Giants and 49ers, was a featured soloist for the California Symphony and Reno Philharmonic, and more. After completing her training at Penn State, Carrie moved to New York and have since toured with Charlie Brown Christmas Live, been a lead soloist for Aida Cruise Lines, and performed at many regional theatres. Favorite regional roles include: Sophie in Mamma Mia (Sierra Rep, Mountain Play), Wendla in Spring Awakening (Pennsylvania Centre Stage), Mary Jane in Big River (Sharon Playhouse), and Shelley in Bat Boy (Oregon Cabaret Theatre).

Cancer Support Community Los Angeles (CSCLA) 5th annual Gilda Gala on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at the InterContinental Century City honored Ken Jeong, Dr. Annette Stanton, and Bedford Breast Center. The event benefited the comprehensive free of charge services, for cancer patients and their families, that CSCLA has provided since 1982.  The annual Gilda Gala is named for the late, legendary comedian Gilda Radner, an early participant and supporter of the CSCLA mission, with the belief that no one should face cancer alone.

A wickedly fun new comedy that skewers our reality-TV politics and the stories we tell about ourselves, Bootstraps by Kathryn Funkhouser premieres at the Chain Theatre as part of the New York Fringe's Fringe BYOV in a production directed by Chris Morrissey.

FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents Robert Bannon brings his new concert event, a?oeThe Great American Songbook:His Waya?? for his Feinsteins/54 Below Debut this November for a special Thanksgiving Eve performance.
