Meet the playwrights from the 2nd week of LA's first TogetherLAFestival. Presented by Alternative Theatre Los Angeles (ATLA) in association with LA Stage Alliance (LASA), a?oeTogether LA: A Virtual Stage Festivala?? is celebrating the vibrant and diverse intimate theatre scene of the greater Los Angeles area.

Peter Freer died the morning of Friday, September 25th at his winter home in Happy Valley, Arizona. He had been diagnosed with cancer several months ago.  

Popular touring vocalist Jessie Wagner (Lenny Kravitz, Chic, Duran Duran, Little Steven and the Disciples of Soul) and frontwoman for NYC rock/soul band Army of the Underdog has dropped a new single off of her upcoming debut solo album, 'Shoes Droppin,' set for release on October 9th via Wicked Cool Records.

SITI Company has announced the SITI Legacy Plan, which includes a finale 30th anniversary season and the creation of a robust physical and digital archive. At the conclusion of the finale season, anticipated to be the Fall of 2022, SITI Company will cease to operate in its current iteration as a touring, teaching, performing ensemble.

On Tuesday, October 13 a radio production of Sinclair Lewis' novel It Can't Happen Here will broadcast at 5PM PDT/8PM EDT via YouTube. Written in 1935 during the rise of fascism in Europe, Lewis' darkly satirical It Can't Happen Here follows the ascent of a demagogue who becomes president of the United States by promising to return the country to greatness.  

Berkeley Repertory Theatre today has announced that nearly 100 organizations nationwide are onboard to share the free radio play, It Can't Happen Here. The new audio adaptation will premiere on Tuesday, October 13 at 5pm PT/8pm ET, followed by a live Q&A with the creative team, director Lisa Peterson & co-adaptors Tony Taccone & Bennett S. Cohen.
