In its first live and in-person performance since before the pandemic, the New Gallery Concert Series (NewGal) presents an immersive tour of art and music, exploring themes of adoption and adaptation.

Lana Gordon and Drama Desk nominee Ryan Silverman will return to Chicago in the roles of Velma Kelly and Billy Flynn, respectively, on Tuesday, April 12 at the Ambassador Theatre (219 W. 49th St.; New York, NY). They join Tony Award nominee Brenda Braxton, who previously played Velma Kelly and now takes on the role of Matron “Mama” Morton.

The Early Night Show with Joshua Turchin announced that it is bringing back live performances for the first time since the start of the pandemic. The shows will begin taping starting in April from the Broadway Makers Marketplace, the new For Broadway Fans, By Broadway Fans Pop Up Shop located in the Turnstyle Underground Market at Columbus Circle (57th & 8th Ave Subway Station).

Today, New York City indie folk-pop trio Morningsiders unveil their new album I’ve Got A Song. With the album announcement comes a brand-new single from the triad titled “Hang The Cedar,” recorded with iconic producer Peter Katis (The National, Interpol, Sharon Van Etten, Kurt Vile) at his live-in-studio earlier this year. 'Hang The Cedar' is a song that mutates and adapts through catchy grooves and rhythms using wistful, blissful folk melodies combined with compelling storytelling.

Milwaukee's Free Shakespeare in the Park has announced its 2022 summer production will be Twelfth Night: Or, What SHE Will. Building upon the success of the company's 2021 first fully touring show, A Midsummer Night's Dream: The Lovers' Tale, this year's Twelfth Night will also be a touring production.

San Francisco Playhouse has announced casting for The Paper Dreams of Harry Chin by Jessica Huang. The play will run on the San Francisco Playhouse Mainstage from May 4 through June 18, 2022. Jeffrey Lo will direct.

North Carolina Theatre has announced the full cast for Ring of Fire with music and lyrics by Johnny Cash directed by Randy Redd, who was a part of the Original Broadway cast of Ring of Fire.  Performances will run from April 29 – May 8 at A.J. Fletcher Opera Theater at the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Raleigh.

Stages Theatre Company has announced the cast and creative team for WHAT DO YOU DO WITH AN IDEA?. From page to stage, this world-premiere musical, based on the book written by Kobi Yamada and illustrated by Mae Besom, comes to life this spring.

Everybody's' Talking About Jamie, the award-winning feel-good musical sensation, is coming to Milton Keynes Theatre on 19 April. West End star Layton Williams reprises the role of Jamie New. Straight from the West End, Shane Richie (I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here, EastEnders) will play Hugo/Loco Chanelle. Shobna Gulati (Coronation Street, Dinnerladies) also re-joins the cast to play Ray.

Akram Khan Company will present the world premiere of Akram Khan’s new work, Jungle Book reimagined – a deeply personal interpretation based on the original story of Rudyard Kipling’s much-loved family classic – at Leicester’s Curve Theatre, 2 - 9 April 2022. A UK and international tour will follow, taking in cities including Birmingham and Edinburgh.
