Luke Combs Wraps 2019 Tour with Two Sold-Out Shows at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena

ACM, CMA and CMT Award-winning artist Luke Combs wrapped his massive “Beer Never Broke My Heart Tour” this past weekend with two sold-out shows at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena. Following the landmark performances, The Tennessean declared Combs “country music's newest giant,” while The Boot asserted, “Combs' Nashville concerts showed that his superstar trajectory is still only at its beginning.” In addition to openers Morgan Wallen and Jameson Rodgers, the Nashville shows also featured special guest performances from Thomas Rhett, Keith Urban and Old Crow Medicine Show. In celebration of the tour, fans can now experience one of Combs' shows in its entirety, on-demand, in virtual reality through MelodyVR.

Los Angeles-based acoustic guitarist, singer and songwriter IAN GOTHE has released 'Blood On the Rooftops In Montrose,' the second track and video from his debut album MEMENTO. Due February 7, 2020 via the California-based Blackbird Record Label, the album was co-produced by IAN with Grammy-winning producer and engineer Jim Scott (Wilco, Tom Petty).

The show, hosted by Ciara and broadcasting live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, November 24 at 8:00 p.m. EST on ABC, will feature performances from Swift, as well as Christina Aguilera & A Great Big World, Toni Braxton, Camila Cabello, Billie Eilish, Green Day, Selena Gomez, Jonas Brothers, Kesha feat. Known collectively as Hawktail, fiddler Brittany Haas, bassist Paul Kowert, guitarist Jordan Tice, and mandolinist Dominick Leslie have combined their monstrous compositional and instrumental forces once again for a much-anticipated sophomore album, Formations. Set for release on January 10th, 2020 via Padiddle Records, Formations took only two months to write and four days to record, a far cry from the 3-year process of their debut album, Unless. “We had studio dates to record a quick EP of covers, arrangements we'd been playing live,” explains Kowert, “But we had these strong starts that felt so good that we were like 'let's finish THESE instead,'” Adds Haas, “We found a new joy in creating, tapping into the experience we gained from writing and recording Unless.”

Brooklyn-based indie rock duo Drug Couple share their second single 'Be In 2.' The track comes off their upcoming EP, Little Hits, which is out this Friday 11/15. The Deli premiered the track, praising, 'A track off the Brooklyn duo's forthcoming debut EP Little Hits, “Be In 2” finds its pace in the disconcerting give-and-take of modulating, granular synths and an acoustic percussive backbone, occasionally finding space for shimmering guitar riffs and cheerful vocal accents, endowing the final output with a sound somewhere between Animal Collective and Yo La Tengo.' Drug Couple has also announced their EP release show at The Broadway on 11/18. Little Hits EP is out this Friday via PaperCup Music.

Last night it was at the corner of 71st Street and 2nd Avenue at the Beach Cafe. Friend Ron Abel, one of the music industry's preeminent pianists/ arranger/music directors in his heads up to me about this artist said …“Sometimes you get lucky. You get to work with a smart actress whose ability to understand a lyric translates to her being able to take the song to a place that people haven't heard before. And then, she has the vocal range and ability to take it that one step further.” That folks is Lianne Marie Dobbs who while new to me is well known by cabaret enthusiasts.

Los Angeles-based acoustic guitarist, singer, and songwriter IAN GOTHE has shared the first offering from his debut album MEMENTO via his interpretation of the Doors classic 'Spanish Caravan.' The video was premiered yesterday (October 30) via Guitar Player magazine in advance of the single's November 1 release. Look for the album, co-produced by IAN with Grammy-winning producer and engineer Jim Scott (Wilco, Tom Petty), to be available February 7, 2020 via the California-based Blackbird Record Label.
