The cast of SIX on the West End celebrated their 100th performance this weekend. The audience on Saturday evening even got to take away a piece of the celebration cake!

Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss's hit concert-style musical SIX, which gives fresh, 21st-century girl power voice to the wives of Henry VIII, has returned to the Arts Theatre in the West End. The cast's queens discuss the show's success - and who is most like their alter ego... 

Meadow Brook Theatre's 2019-2020 season has something for everyone with comedies, musicals, a drama and even a whodunit. "We're excited not only to have Michigan premieres during our 54th season, but also to have the world premiere of a brand new musical," said Cheryl Marshall, MBT managing director.  "We've got a wonderfully entertaining lineup and, once again, we're kicking things off with a great event this summer!'

The Television Academy Foundation today announced the first group of celebrity presenters and ticket sale information for the 39th College Television Awards to be held on March 16, 2019.

Award-winning comedian Damian Callinan's hit one-man show The Merger comes full circle and returns to the stage for the Adelaide Fringe Festival from 13-24 February. The season follows the tale's hugely successful, 2018 feature film adaptation - starring Kate Mulvany, John Howard and Callinan himself - where it was shortlisted for the Cinefest Oz Prize, scored multiple AACTA nominations and rave reviews, reverently compared by critics to cult Aussie classics such as The Castle.

This magical production is a celebration of the 1939 MGM movie, and will be presented with breathtaking special effects that will sweep audiences away from the moment the tornado twists its way into Kansas. The national tour will play for two days only February 23- 24, 2019 at SPAHouston/Jones Hall.

Husband and wife duo Ida Mae (Chris Turpin and Stephanie Jean), have released an enticing new video for their single 'If You Don't Love Me', directed by Tim Hyland and Luke Courtenay Smith with LNT productions. The video is currently streaming via Clash Magazine who writes, 'The duo cast a spell with their opaque Americana, with their folk-hewn, countrified harmonies, blending two voices as one.' Filmed in one take at a 17th century old shoe maker's mansion in the band's hometown of Norwich, the duo said of the video, “We wanted to capture a sense of late night / early morning, the quiet moment before the sun comes up with a hint of 'Exile on main street'!'

Casting has been announced for the European premiere of Cry Havoc by Tom Coash, starring Marc Antolin (West End, National Theatre, RSC, Young Vic) and James El-Sharawy (Clywd Theatr Cymru, Southwark Playhouse). With a press night at Park Theatre on 29 March, 7pm, this unconventional love story between Briton and Egyptian explores the repression that the LGBTQ+ community still faces in wider international cultures.

Storyhouse announced today that a new production of Howard Ashman and Alan Menken's musical Little Shop of Horrors will run on the main stage from Friday 10 May - Sunday 2 June, to mark the multi award-winning arts centres second birthday.

Damien Ryan's award-winning production of Arthur Miller's The Crucible returns to Bella Vista Farm and the Seymour Centre for a limited season this March.

Jane Seymour, Jacqueline Bisset and Paul Reiser will be joining Douglas and Arkin in the second season as recurring guest stars in multiple episodes.

New Village Arts announces a change in programming for its eighteenth season. NVA had previously announced a summer production of the West Coast premiere of BELLA: AN AMERICAN TALL TALE, but due to staffing changes and material challenges, NVA has made the difficult decision to cancel the production. NVA's Executive Artistic Director, Kristianne Kurner, says, "All of us love BELLA, but we want to be sure we produce it when we are confident that we can put our best minds together with enough time for rehearsal to be successful."

Lynne Meadow (Artistic Director) and Barry Grove (Executive Producer) have just announced three productions slated for Manhattan Theatre Club's upcoming 2019-2020 season.

Created by Caique Oliveira, the show portrays racial segregation in the United States in the early 20th century and brings the story of William Seymour played by a great gospel music cast. After the season with sold-out sessions, Rua Azusa - O Musical arrives on Saturday, the 8th, at Teatro Procopio Ferreira, with performances on Fridays (8pm), Saturdays (2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.) and Sundays (2:30 p.m.).

The story of ANASTASIA is one of mystery, sadness, joy and romance. The audience is taken on a journey with a young girl who doesn't know her past. She wants to know where she came from and where she really belongs. As ANASTASIA continues to tour throughout North America, BWW had a chance to catch up with actress Tari Kelly who plays the part of Countess Lily.
