Ida Mae Share New Video for 'If You Don't Love Me', Plan Tour With Greta Van Fleet and Blackberry Smoke

Husband and wife duo Ida Mae (Chris Turpin and Stephanie Jean), have released an enticing new video for their single "If You Don't Love Me", directed by Tim Hyland and Luke Courtenay Smith with LNT productions. The video is currently streaming viaClash Magazine who writes, "The duo cast a spell with their opaque Americana, with their folk-hewn, countrified harmonies, blending two voices as one." Filmed in one take at a 17th century old shoe maker's mansion in the band's hometown of Norwich, the duo said of the video, "We wanted to capture a sense of late night / early morning, the quiet moment before the sun comes up with a hint of 'Exile on main street'!"

The single "If You Don't Love Me" was produced by Ethan Johns and released via Thirty Tigers. Rolling Stone Country featured the track as one of the "10 Best Country and Americana Songs to Hear Now", writing that "Ida Mae excel at hushed intimacy on this fragile ballad...it's proof that the best harmonies often come from artists with a shared history."

Ida Mae will be opening for Greta Van Fleet this March on their European tour, and will be joining Blackberry Smoke on their Break It Down tour this spring. See below for a full list of 2019 U.S. dates.

Ida Mae's magic lies in the sensuous dovetailing of two voices and the intimacy of their songs. Their chemistry on stage isn't just a dramatic pose and is a truly captivating sight to behold. Hailing from Norwich and born out of Kill It Kid who established their credentials in the BritishMusic indie Rock world, Chris and Stephanie present themselves as a sensual version of White Stripes meets Civil Wars meets The xx. Singing together, the couple have an unusual 'which-is-which' dynamic.

After finding critical acclaim with Kill It Kid, touring the world as newlyweds and working closely with legendary A&R man Seymour Stein, Chris and Stephanie have recently finished recording their debut album with acclaimed producer and friend Ethan Johns (Ryan Adams / Ray Lamontagne / Kings Of Leon / Laura Marling) which is set to be released in early Summer of 2019 through Thirty Tigers.

Touring highlights as Ida Mae include support slots with Greta Van Fleet, The Marcus King Band, The Lone Bellow, Nick Mulvey, Nikki Lane, and Will Varley. They have also played Emmylou Harris's Woofstock Festival & Kings Of Leon's Harvest Night in Nashville.
